Hello, I am an enthusiastic and creative 23-year-old who for many years has wanted to be part of a TEFL programme.

I first heard about teaching English as a foreign language whilst in Vietnam when I was 18 and I was instantly intrigued by the opportunity. As lover of exploring new cultures, history, food, music and people, I saw TEFL as a chance to throw myself completely into a brand-new culture whilst being tasked with the important and rewarding job of aiding people’s education.

My inner urge to travel and see the world has taken me to some incredible places such as Cambodia, India, Peru, Hong Kong and many more. This has helped me develop the ability to adapt, respect and integrate with a wide variety of cultures. It has also immensely developed my communication skills to enable me to feel comfortable and confident in conversing with a spectrum of people, both individually and in groups.

My previous teaching experience involves volunteering as a teaching assistant with the El Rio foundation in the north of Colombia where I aided permanent teachers, working as part of a team to improve their lessons which involved: English, Art and Sport. My goal from this experience was to learn whether I wanted to commit to a full-time teaching position in a foreign country or not. The rewarding feeling after seeing the children’s progression made me realise the importance of education and convinced me that this area of work is perfect for me.

After graduating from university – alongside completing my TEFL qualification – I have spent the last 10 months working for myself in creating a successful art business where I make and sell my art to consumers all around the world. This has involved a lot of organisation, time management and hard work, traits which I believe to be essential for teachers. It also shows my driven nature to succeed in what I set my mind to. The business is now self-sufficient for the next year, which is why I believe this is the right time for me make the most of my TEFL qualification and make a real difference.

For a long time, I have wanted to experience and live in South Korea. This is why I believe one of your exciting opportunities to teach in Seoul is the perfect fit for me. I am more than excited to get to know this incredible place and its people, and I think my enthusiasm will only enhance my potential as an educator.

I am a confident decision maker and solution finder driven by results. Multitasking is part of my DNA, along with the ability to keep cool and level headed under pressure, quick to find solutions to issues before they become problems. I have learned that long-term goals are best achieved when I break them into shorter goals.
My short-term goal is to find a teaching position that will put me in a forward-moving school/academy with solid performance and future projections. As part of a team, I want to add value and continue to grow the educational institute.
Success is my only option, I am driven, motivated and seek/achieve nothing but the best. I do not follow in paths but create my own so others can follow.

With a genuine and nurturing nature, combined with a professional and ambitious approach, I possess the primary skills needed in my field, including team building , excellent communication and good classroom management skills . Additionally, time-management and progress monitoring are part of my skills set, with proficiency in leadership. I am a very hardworking individual with exceptional multi-tasking skills, who is always reading up on the latest research studies published in order to provide efficient and effective services in my workplace. In addition, I am a very committed person who enjoys helping others and I believe my wonderful affinity with people of all ages, especially children makes me a great candidate. Also, during school holidays I freely tutor learners around my community for English and history lessons. This inspires me to give back and help the community in any little way that I can. I have the ability to focus on details, work towards perfection, and approach work in a neat and organized manner. I am proficient in using MS office, adhering to rules and strictly following work regulations.

I am a qualified ESL Teacher with a background in Social work and facilitation. I have facilitated educational groups at various schools. I am an attentive listener and I have the ability to think on my feet in unforseen circumstances. I'm generally more approachable than most people. The first thing people usually observe and say about me is that I'm very friendly. I am hardworking and I always look forward to a new challenge.

I have tutored University Students and also learners from Grade 7 to Grade 12. My warm personality and willingness to always help made classroom management easy for me as learners were always willing to cooperate. I work well with kids as I have a very playful nature and laughter here and there goes a long way for the kids. The aim is to always make learning fun.

In my teaching experience I have seen that leaners come into the classroom with open minds, and it is the teacher’s responsibility to expand their minds with information so that they can use the acquired knowledge to build their personalities and broaden their thought processes to help them solve problems of everyday life. Another thing that has always worked for me in my teaching years is knowing that students have different needs and they grab information differently. As a teacher, I need to be able to consider that when I prepare my lesson. Also, interacting with my students during my free periods has helped me a lot because I get to see if students understood the lesson. I’m currently teaching English and having to communicate with my students in English, even when it is not in a classroom a lesson, improves their self-esteem and they are able to express themselves in English. I am a passionate and a friendly person, thus it’s easier for kids to communicate with me.

I have 1y10months working as Cabin Crew, travelling across Europe ensuring passengers have a safe and enjoyable journey. Through this I meet people from a wide range of different cultures, and interact with them often.
10 months experience as a Supervisor role, preparing cabin and roles, training crew if necessary.

I am very eager to learn about new cultures and languages, and also to share culture and language with others.

While I don't have much teaching experience, I have seen many different teaching styles, through school, university + job training, and can use my experiences there to develop a good teaching style.

Recently completed a 200hr TEFL course online.
