I am a trained actor with an excellent grasp of the English language and how it is formed in the mouth.
I have experience with four- and five-year-olds in a classroom setting, some with special educational needs, as well as teenagers and young adults with special needs.
It is my belief that I would be an asset to an English as a Foreign Language teaching team as the combination of these two things grant me the ability to think on my feet, and find the best manner in which to impart information such that it is most easily remembered by students.
My more recent roles in a front of house capacity at both a big brand shop and an eating and drinking establishment further aid me in my ability to communicate with and help a range of different people with different needs.
I believe I can inspire learning via creativity and play, both of which I believe improve the speed and permanence of recall of a second (or indeed third) language from an early age.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor of Art in English and a minor in Creative Writing. During my time at the university, I was able to hone my writing and research abilities through my intense coursework in literature and creative writing. In addition, I have also gained, through the MADE program, the experience to communicate effectively and enhance my interpersonal ability when speaking with individuals, students, family and staff. Due to these experiences, they have prepared me with a strong passion for serving students and the aspiration to eventually get into the classroom.

In addition to my academic and extracurricular experiences, I have also initiated my own events and student engagement activities, where I have been responsible for developing programming that supports the needs of students. Also, through my role at the Boys and Girls Club, I have developed engaging activities to further the kids development during the summer and after school program. I am a very quick learner and adaptable team player, who is also capable of working independently and taking the lead. I am also capable of working efficiently under pressure to meet any deadlines with an understanding of how my role contributes to the whole.

I have over 20 years' experience with children, youth and adults in education, character development, and mental health. I have worked with diverse populations in numerous settings. My teaching experience includes teaching K to 12th grades as lead teacher and subject teacher in whole classrooms, small groups and one-on-one settings. Also, teaching in community outreach with neighborhood youth and children providing classes in ESL, character development, self-expression, decision making, and self-advocacy. I have tutored elementary, middle, high school and college students in English, mathematics and the social sciences. I have trained teachers in neighborhood educational programs.

My mental health work gives me a rich experience to draw in supporting students in the familial and life factors that impact their learning. I am interested in supporting the educational process for all students in developing their educational goals and personal goals to be contributing members of society. I believe it is important to assist them in seeing the capacities they have within and then accompanying them to reach their potential.

I have certifications in TESOL/TEFL and TEYL.

My education coupled with my experience gives me a rich background to draw from in teaching and assisting in a classroom. I come with the ability to teach children and adults of different cultures and educational levels and to use numerous strategies in order to facilitate each student's learning.

I am writing to express my interest in an Entry Level English teaching position in South Korea as advertised through Gloii. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills to your education institute.

I have a career background in architecture in the United Kingdom and am looking to make a career transition into English teaching and contribute to Korean society by helping students grasp the English language. Coming from a creative, detail oriented and communication- focused profession, I bring strong presentation skills, adaptability, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others learn qualities that I believe align well with the expectations of teaching English in South Korea.

My career background in architecture has strengthened my ability to adapt my communication style, remain patient under pressure, and present information in structured and engaging ways. I have also developed strong organisational skills and professionalism, both of which are essential in a classroom environment. I am particularly drawn to South Korea for its rich cultural heritage, strong sense of community, and deep respect for education.

The opportunity to live and work in Japan represents both a professional and personal aspiration and I would also like to learn and ingratiate myself into the local cultures of South Korea and the storied history of the country. I am motivated by the chance to contribute positively as an educator while immersing myself in a culture that values discipline, curiosity, and lifelong learning.

I am eager to build a solid foundation in teaching methodology, classroom management, and learner-centred approaches and I am committed to developing the skills needed to become a confident and effective teacher. I am bilingual in Vietnamese and English with more than 10 years of experience in education, beginning as a mentor and volunteer. I hold a B.S. in Special Education (Adapted P–12) from the University of West Georgia and a TESOL/TEFL certificate I currently teach in an elementary public school. I have worked with adults and youth who do not speak English at a technical college, and with my coursework and professional background I believe I can bring meaningful opportunities to diverse students. I was born and raised in Vietnam and came to the United States at 19. I am 55 years old and have two daughters who are both college graduates. I can teach learners of all ages, I love my work, and my goal is to ensure every student has the opportunity to learn and grow to their full potential.
