I’m a highly analytical and results-driven worker who always strives to go above and beyond what is expected of me. As you can see on my resume I have a variety of experiences with many different skill sets ranging from anywhere from office clerical work, all the way to becoming doctors assistants within the medical field. Although these jobs are not correlated to teaching English, I believe that the skills that I have gained from these occupations will bring a lot to the TEFL team. I am a worker who can juggle multiple tasks at once, and am able to work both independently and dependently. I’m a quick learner and will always find ways to better my job performance. I enjoy working within a new culture to help grow my own personal self but to also work in a challenging and versatile environment.

As an applicant for this program I believe that with not only the skills I have, I also can bring my experiences and prior knowledge of living in South Korea while I was studying abroad at Hanyang University in Seoul in the Summer of 2022. Having lived in South Korea during this period was what made me officially want to become an ESL teacher. I will be graduating with my undergraduate degree in the Spring of 2023 (and have an official letter certifying my graduation date by my University's Registrars Office. I also have a copy of my TEFL License if needed for hopeful future meetings :D) and have obtained my TEFL License as of January 11, 2023.

I am a personable, polite and patient individual, all qualities which I feel would equip me well for a teaching position, especially in a new culture. Whilst I have not taught before I am always eager to learn new skills and tackle new challenges as I am a quick learner who can adapt to environments and circumstances quickly, I am used to moving about and changing scene so I would be able to take moving to a new country in my stride. I have previously held jobs, both paid and voluntary, that require a good level of organisational skill, which again I feel would equip me well for teaching.

I have experience volunteering in three primary schools, and tutoring in various GCSE and A-Level subjects. Additionally, I currently work at a secondary school as an autism specialist. I am a caring, friendly and hard-working person who absolutely loves working with kids. Me and my partner are both seeking a EFL teacher role so that we can travel and work together in a new and exciting location. I am a great team player and I put my hardest into everything I do.

While I only recently became TEFL certified, I have experiencing tutoring organic chemistry which has instilled in me a great deal of patience and understanding when it comes to the academic process. Not everyone will approach learning with the same ability and enthusiasm and finding ways to make learners feel comfortable and confident in both the material and their capacity to absorb it has always been the key to my success.

I have experience that dates all the way back to high school; tutoring students, assembling learning material, and training new tutors on classroom etiquette and my own experience on how to handle big classes of 25-30 (more details in CV), which was a bit of a challenge since getting students the same age as me to allow themselves to be taught by me
I also worked for a small sum of 5 months with VIPkid at the same time while completing my TEFL Level 5.

As a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of South Florida, Marine Biology and Psychology programs, I have demonstrated exceptional ambition and the ability to excel in academics.

As such, I am passionate about teaching and learning. Beyond any additional certificates and degrees, I may earn, I intend to continue my education through the two-way interaction between students and teacher. My students will be given the encouragement and confidence they need to feel good about learning. They will be given a supportive environment that allows them to grow and develop skills in a comfortable way.

I earned a certificate for the 168-hour, level 5 Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) course. This course covered subjects such as English grammar, teaching large classes, methodology, and online classes. I have also passed the Florida Professional Education exam in pursuit of my permanent teaching certificate.

In addition to teaching certificates, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. This diverse combination of academic studies has been instrumental in broadening my understanding of people and the world they live in. Furthermore, I apply the scientific method, which is practiced in both disciplines, as a way to break down complex problems in everyday life, as well as the classroom.

I am also a Certified Pet Trainer. In that role I taught class sizes that ranged from individuals to large groups, including families of all ages and their dogs. This experience gave me the opportunity to learn how to manage and teach classrooms of multiple sizes and with diverse groups of people, ranging in ages from 5 to 70. Without changing my teaching philosophy or effectiveness, I was able to be highly flexible in order to accommodate the wide range of personalities and conditions, along with the added variable of dogs who were often times there to fix disciplinary issues and bad habits.

In summary, I am a self-directed leader with a passion for learning. I have experience teaching students of all ages and plan to promote a supportive and productive atmosphere in my classroom. I have the necessary credentials, ample educational and practical background to fully qualify for this teaching position.

Hello, my name is Isabelle Webster, preferably known as Bella. I am currently 21 years old, teaching 3-12 year olds in Thailand.
I consider myself a very positive person. I like to keep optimism high, and remain positive even in the face of difficult and stressful situations. I am also very organised. Considering my current situation, I must keep on top of my schedule when teaching, always making sure that I know what my lessons contain, and planning them. I am also organised in my personal life, keeping ahead of my spending and more! Outside of work, I enjoy hiking & walking. Exploring new places is a really fun way to get to know my surroundings and see beautiful sights! Travelling is also an interest that I am exploring, which is why I am currently teaching in Thailand, and would love to have the opportunity to teach in S.Korea.
I have always been interested in teaching, teaching being my first dream job. To date, I have had experience volunteering in a primary school in the UK for around 1 month. I then have a small roles throughout high school and collage, where I would voluntarily help out the younger years get to grip with school life. Adding to this, by February I will have worked as an English Teacher in Thailand for four months!
This job has been extremely valuable. I feel as though I now have a good understanding of how to get kids attention, create engaging lessons, and make sure that fun is had in the classroom. I feel confident in my teaching, and would love to have the chance to become an even better English Teacher!

My biggest strengths in relation to this role stem from previous experience I have had tutoring children in the UK, and the skills I have developed throughout my academic endeavours.

Tutoring experience –

In university I tutored students on GCSE English and History. This was a useful introduction into teaching. I now understand the importance of effective lesson planning, connecting with students on a personal level, and teaching students to think on their feet.
