My name is Michael Tucker. I am a charismatic and driven individual with enormous passion for the English language. The opportunity to utilise my English degree, whilst teaching children English as a foreign language is something I consider unmissable.

I have recently completed 120 hours of study on the accredited TEFL course which has equipped me well with the skills I will need to teach children English abroad. I also have a decent amount of experience teaching kids in the UK, having been involved in football camps, guitar lessons and very often helping years below when I was in school as a classroom assistant. Mainly for English students in years below me, but also for drama students.

I am enthusiastic and ripe for a new challenge that will allow me to work within the field that I love. That field being English. I have a fairly strong resume for my age, having had my writing published in several anthologies, blogs and being afforded the honour of performing my poetry at the reputable Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Now is the time for me to pull all of my skill-sets together. My writing background and my newly acquired teaching skills will put me in a strong and confident position when teaching children the beauty of the English language.

Teaching full time is enjoyable. Nine years after successfully teaching at the Alberta University of the Arts I explored other avenues of work for professional growth. Teaching is a gift I love and appreciate. Consistently teaching people in various forms is a very important part of my life.
