Hello! My name is Jaideep Mangat and I am from Denver, Colorado, USA. I have spent the past seven years teaching students in public schools in the U.S. and am now ready for a new adventure! I taught many subjects including English, Math, Social Studies, and Business. I hold a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. During my free time, I volunteer at non-profits that focus on providing after school programs for kids. Additionally, I have experience teaching youth basketball and organizing class filed trips across the country. I teach with a lot of passion and energy and my goal is to build a student's confidence.

My Education Studies degree developed my understanding of how people learn and how to support different learning needs. My teaching-related experience at the Charles Dickens Museum helped me connect educational knowledge with engaging learners, while my roles at TikTok and WHSmith strengthened my communication, patience, problem-solving and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. I aim to bring these skills into the classroom to create a supportive environment where students feel confident learning English.

I have got experience in teaching English as a volunteer in Indonesia. I also have experience in Customer service so I am used to speaking to the public which means I am not shy. I believe that I am a great person to be around, someone who always tries my best and is very talkative.

Coming from a family of teachers, I have been lucky to grow up in a very positive and supportive environment, understanding the value of education and appreciating the qualities of a good teacher. I am naturally a very extroverted and positive person, and I love meeting new people and building strong relationships. I am also very enthusiastic, bringing as much energy to any activity I do, whether it be for work, sports, or connecting with friends. This enthusiasm directly translates to why I believe I am a good teacher, as I find I am always able to get students to participate in class while keeping the content engaging, yet informational. As a swim instructor, a tutor, a youth sports coach, and a teaching assistant, I have brought this enthusiasm to all teaching-focused positions I have held and I find students often respond well to my teaching styles. Of course, all students learn differently, so when I find I have students that do not respond to my typical style, I am able to adapt to their needs. For the last five years I balanced an engineering undergraduate degree with many extracurricular clubs, teams, and work, developing my professionalism, organization, and time management skills, which are all very helpful in a classroom setting. Additionally, three years of lifeguarding has taught me how to stay calm in high-pressure situations while prioritizing safety for large groups of people, like in a classroom. In general, I believe that I am an ideal candidate for a position teaching abroad because of my enthusiastic personality, my teaching experience, and the work ethic I have developed from a diverse array of experiences in professional and academic settings.

Experience: I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary and a TEFL certificate. My international hospitality career has given me extensive experience training, mentoring, and coaching people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
