My name is Imani Richardson and I am an Esl teacher with five years of experience teaching English to young learners, I am confident that I will be an excellent addition to your team. I am hard working, positive and I know how to motivate students to reach their full potential. I have a bachelor’s degree from the University of Indiana and a TEFL certification. I also have experience teaching English in the form of many different subjects such as grammar, writing, math, science, music and art.
In all of my previous classes my students always excelled academically. Not only did my students do well in their classes but they also had fun. I believe that the best way to motivate students is to make learning entertaining. Whether it’s singing, dancing, or putting on a puppet show, I always make sure that my lessons are vibrant, interactive and exciting.

I have completed 120 hours of training for TEFL.

Hello,

As we move through life we embark upon new seasons and in those seasons we start new chapters. Right here, right now my chapter begins with this opportunity teaching abroad. I seek new ventures that opens my mind to the world in a 360 internal and external view. Stepping out in the unknown where you will gain new perspective, experiences is amazing to be apart of.
I want to broaden my range in skills that will further me into the next level in future endeavors I take part in. Taking a leap of faith, a chance to become something greater in a field where everyone benefits is what will propel me for future greatness.

As an English Teacher being able to engage with all ranges of people with different ages is incredible. The level of being one of one or in small group settings allows information to be generated equally among all peers. The in house coursework, materials gives more ease, time to get the mission completed. The icing on the cake is the training programs which for me is important as I want to develop just as much as my students as we move all throughout this path to success.

Once I engage in any given tasks at hand I will give it all I got and more. Steep motivation to be the best at what I do. Resourcefulness in using all avenues available to help out in all areas. Willingness to listen and absorb feedback. Push myself to know, learn, acquaint to what needs to be done within the organization, team and environment around me. Openminded to new cultures, people, memories I have yet to make.

I am a skilled and confident communicator both in front of small and large groups. Throughout my career as a lawyer I have developed an inherent calmness and resilience and as such can perform multiple tasks at the same time under pressure. I am very proactive and keen to learn new skills even this far into my career. These skills and experience I believe make me an excellent candidate for this position. As per your job ad I also have many years experience of tutoring and mentoring children in sports in a voluntary capacity which I believe would strengthen my application.

I have worked as a Learning Support Assistant at the University of Southampton for the past 4 years. During that time I have worked with a variety of students and done a range of work including notetaking, exam support and supporting at open days. As a PhD student I also worked with lecturers as a Demonstrator, as well as teaching some lectures in my specialty. I am a hard worker who enjoys being in a learning environment. I have strong organisational skills and am always excited to learn new things.
