I hold a bachelor’s degree, a Level 5 TEFL Diploma, and specialized certifications in Business English and IELTS preparation. I have approximately three years of K–12 substitute teaching experience and over 15 years of experience working with children and young people. My strengths include classroom management, adaptability, patience, and effective communication. I am dependable, approachable, and passionate about creating engaging, supportive learning environments. I enjoy helping students build confidence in their English abilities while adapting my teaching methods to meet their individual needs

I am a CELTA-qualified English language teacher with six years of teaching experience across the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. My experience includes teaching primary school children aged 5–11 in the United Kingdom, teaching children, teenagers and adults at a language centre in Saudi Arabia, and teaching adult English language learners at the Refugee Forum. At the Refugee Forum, I supported adults in developing their English skills to prepare for university study and integrate into British society, covering academic and creative writing, research reports and Harvard referencing. I currently work in a special educational needs and disabilities college, support learners, and cover teaching duties when required. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, a Master’s degree in Management and International Business, the CELTA qualification, and an IELTS teaching qualification. I am also undertaking professional training to become an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examiner. I am patient, adaptable, organised, and enthusiastic, with a student-centred approach focused on interactive lessons, inclusive learning, clear communication, and building learners’ confidence.

I have a degree in Childhood Studies, which gave me a strong understanding of child development, learning and wellbeing, alongside practical experience through various placements. I also completed a six-month internship with a children's charity in York and took part in Camp America, giving me valuable experience working with children in different environments and developing my confidence, patience and adaptability.

Alongside my experience with children, I have several years of hospitality experience, including working as a bar manager. This has strengthened my communication, organisation, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as my ability to remain calm and positive in busy situations.

I am naturally cheerful, optimistic and approachable, and I enjoy creating positive environments where people feel comfortable and encouraged. I believe these qualities, combined with my experience working with children, would help me create a fun, supportive and engaging environment for kindergarten students learning English.
