I have worked in a professional setting for 4 years as a full stack software engineer at a travel app startup called Wanderlog. In that setting, I have led many projects to completion as well as presented to other engineers my learnings and project retrospectives throughout the years. Before working at Wanderlog, I have had many internships at various places like a game lab at MIT, the U.S. Naval War College, and SEGA games, showing I have good work ethic and am hard working.

As for my personality, I would call myself a curious and open minded person. I am always open to listen to other people's thoughts and opinions, and can take constructive feedback well. I am also very extroverted and love getting to know and working with people.

For skills, I am very organized and thorough with my work. I make sure that everything is done correctly, while also trying to prioritize speed. I would say that I'm usually well prepared, so I try to get stuff done as soon as I can. I am also good at collaborating with other people.

Experience
TEFL certified native English speaker with experience supporting secondary level English Literature classes and tutoring students one-to-one. Additional youth focused experience through a marketing internship at an educational arts organisation, developing strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills in learning centred environments.

I have no professional experience teaching English to young children. However, I have used English as my primary language for teaching young children in Bible schools. In terms of professional experience, I have some experience in Information Technology (IT). Also, I have taught and mentored young adults and adults in Australia and New Zealand. Thus, I believe my biggest strength is taking care of people of all ages. Finally, I am always keen to learn about new things. Therefore, I am not afraid of taking new challenges in life.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Philosophy and English Literature. I recently completed my CELTA at St. Giles Brighton, receiving a Pass B, and I am eager to begin my teaching career abroad.

During my CELTA, I gained experience teaching six hours of in-person lessons, developing strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management. I enjoy using engaging, student-centered activities. I pride myself in creating a supportive and interactive learning environment and hope to help students gain confidence in using English.

I am particularly interested in teaching in Korea because I am excited to experience its culture, improve my language skills, and contribute positively to students’ learning journeys.
