Throughout my life, I have always wanted to make an impact on the world, but it wasn’t until my junior year of high school, when I was teaching preschool, that I fell in love with the idea of teaching. If you know me, you know that I want to see the world, learn new languages and cultures, and meet people. I also want to be able to open schools around the world to give children the education that they deserve.

I started off as a preschool Montessori teacher and then was in the teacher preparation program at Salisbury University, where I taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade. While I do not have a teaching license, I have found that there are still endless opportunities to become a teacher. I finished my degree with a Bachelor of Science with a focus in elementary education and film.
I struggled as a kid academically because of ADHD, but my teachers are the reason why I am who I am to this day, and they are the reason why I am so passionate about traveling and teaching. Your first thought when you hear, “Oh, she wants to travel,” may be, “She just wants to go to the beach and drink margaritas all day,” but this couldn’t be further from the truth. I want to be a part of the community and learn from the people who live there, while still being culturally responsive.

In the teacher preparation program, my university made it clear how important it is to be a culturally responsive teacher and how important it is to build strong relationships with your students—because you simply cannot teach a child without knowing how they learn best.
One of my biggest life goals is to make an impact on the world. You may hear this a lot, but I truly want to dedicate my life to teaching and making impacts in small communities in as many places as I can. If one day I get a phone call from a student telling me that they are going to run for president, I will feel like I am on top of the world. I don’t want to teach just to be another teacher in the classroom, but to tell students that they can achieve anything they believe in.
While I travel to unknown places, I know the obstacles that lie ahead of me. But one of my favorite quotes is, “The only thing you have to fear is fear itself.” Yes, I can get hesitant about doing things, but being nervous is what makes you human. If you do not face your fears head-on—and if your dreams do not scare you—I truly believe they are not big enough.

Traveling the world is scary, but it is something that I have been wanting to do for over a decade. Everything I have been doing has been leading me to this moment where I am right now—every choice I have made, every obstacle I have faced. I have pushed through because of the dream I have: that I am going to get to travel, teach, and see the world.

I have two years of experience teaching piano to students of various ages, as well as volunteering experience in Tanzania with Raleigh International that included teaching hand hygiene practices to an under-resourced community. Having studied a combination of English Language and Literature at A-level, as well as a Film and Creative Writing degree at the University of Essex, I have a good understanding of the English language which I could pass onto students in South Korea. Achieving a Level 5 Diploma at the TEFL Academy has also improved my teaching skills and classroom management to be able to enforce a calm, safe and effective learning environment.

Certified by NASM and SORA with hands-on experience in leadership roles, customer service, and team management. Strong proficiency in fitness coaching, technical troubleshooting, and digital art tools. Proven ability to adapt quickly, lead effectively, and deliver excellent results across multiple industries.

I see myself as an independent woman who has a strong work ethic and I feel I would be an asset to any organisation. Having recently returned from solo traveling for 3 months I am keen to work as part of a team, whilst also being able to work independently when required. I am now keen to expand my horizons and begin my teaching career.

I have previous experience with volunteering with young children at the local primary school and playgroup. I also deal with children, young adults and people from all backgrounds at my current job with the Youth Hostel Association.

I believe I would be an assest to your organization as I bring a mixture of enthusiasm and motivation to all of my career endeavors and I am passionate about aiding others. My entire career has been focused on supporting individuals, families, and communities. Therefore, when I learned that I could earn a certificate to teach English as a second language, which assists learners in gaining practical English skills which could produce limitless opportunities in their education, employment, etc… it seemed like a natural progression for me.

I have a background in tutoring adults in literacy and school-aged children in various subjects. I have experience in classroom management, student engagement, and adapting lessons to match students’ needs. I believe the strategies I’ve learned and executed will help me succeed in this role.

Additionally, I am very dependable, goal-driven, adaptable, and have enjoyed working with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds. I believe these qualities are essential for working in a foreign country where cultural sensitivity and flexibility are imperative.

As a TEFL-certified educator with a strong foundation in science and healthcare education, I bring a unique blend of enthusiasm, clarity, and adaptability to the ESL classroom. My experience ranges from delivering interactive lessons for elementary learners to providing real-time documentation in high-pressure medical environments. I strive to create inclusive, student-centered learning experiences that promote language acquisition through differentiated instruction, engaging content, and effective classroom management. I have a TEFL certificate and have over a year of experience working in schools as a language teacher.

Last year I taught a range of age groups in a private language school in Mexico, which helped me to become more flexible during lessons and at times forced me to think on my feet – a key teaching quality in my opinion. I am currently teaching in a school in Poland. Here, I teach individual classes and groups, online and at school. Whether it be through playing interactive games with children or getting into relevant debates with adults, I make my lessons as engaging as possible, with some humour throughout.

I have over 8+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, complemented by a TEFL certification and experience as a Part-Time Trainer and Assessor. This background provides a robust foundation in communication, organisation, needs analysis, and curriculum development, all directly applicable to teaching.
