I am bilingual in Vietnamese and English with more than 10 years of experience in education, beginning as a mentor and volunteer. I hold a B.S. in Special Education (Adapted P–12) from the University of West Georgia and a TESOL/TEFL certificate I currently teach in an elementary public school. I have worked with adults and youth who do not speak English at a technical college, and with my coursework and professional background I believe I can bring meaningful opportunities to diverse students. I was born and raised in Vietnam and came to the United States at 19. I am 55 years old and have two daughters who are both college graduates. I can teach learners of all ages, I love my work, and my goal is to ensure every student has the opportunity to learn and grow to their full potential. These experiences have strengthened my creativity, problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing situations – all of which are essential when planning and delivering lessons.

I am also eager to learn and confident that I would adapt quickly to this new role and be contribute positively to the classroom environment.
