As you can see on my resume, I have a lot of experience working with children. I also have experience being in different countries by studying abroad. When I was a teacher's assistant in Spain, I successfully developed relationships with children and helped them with their English learning. I organized materials and prepped art projects based around teacher's instructions. My greatest strengths as a teacher are my calm and understanding nature with children. My biggest strength as an employee is my dependability and my flexibility.

I am a friendly and cheerful individual with strong experience in customer service and customer resolution. Conflict is not new to me, and finding solutions is something I enjoy.

As a teenager, I've worked as a summer camp counselor for 7-10 year olds; as a college student, I worked as a 24/7 mentor/chaperone onsite at K-State University in Salina, Kansas. Children are refreshing and inspiring, and a constant reminder that we must improve ourselves to improve our surroundings.

With a bachelor's in nursing and interest in modern (and alternative) medicine, I enjoy researching peer-reviewed articles in my free time. Finding ways to explain complicated concepts and chemical terms in common language is difficult, but can be so rewarding when someone else suddenly understands what I do. Teaching aspirational students who want to help the world, specifically people who are sick or injured, is very much aligned with my spirit's desire.

I enjoy international culture and language, having taught myself to read Korean and am in the process of learning how to speak Spanish. After living in Kansas City and learning of its 13 international sister cities, and Friendship City status with Jeonju, South Korea, I was inspired to learn more and incorporate each sister city in the development of my skincare brand, Skinherent Beauty, with the ultimate goal of having a product inspired by each city and using special ingredients from each location to demonstrate the wisdom and beauty that each has to offer.

With regards to personal traits, I am a friendly, composed and caring individual. As visible in my CV and reference letters, I make it a point to become a reliable and accessible member of any team I'm part of. I have a versatile range of skills including, but not limited to: fast learning, attentive listener, great at explaining elaborate concepts or condensing them into a digestive manner. I am tenacious, punctual and as previously mentioned, my gregarious nature allows me connect with anyone which makes teaching concepts much easier.
As for my experience, though I have no official teaching experience, I have spent my school and university years tutoring friends and colleagues in a plethora of subjects. Education is a fundamental right and I have the privilege of being educated. Hence, this great power comes with the responsibility of helping others reach their own learning goals. Education at its core, and teaching by extension is fundamentally about care. It's a threefold relationship whereby the teacher cares about the student, the student cares about the teacher and they both care about the work or greater learning process. This philosophy of teaching is one I have come to learn through my years in academia thus it would be an honour to put it into practice alongside your experienced team.

After more than four years working as a journalist in the UK, I am now committed to applying my writing, editing, and interpersonal skills to help students develop their English proficiency. I hold a 120-hour TEFL certification from The TEFL Org, completed alongside full-time employment, demonstrating my dedication, organisation and enthusiasm. I am currently seeking an opportunity to help students build confidence and achieve meaningful progress in their English language skills. I have a bachelor's degree in English from a top-10 university in the UK, as well as a master's degree in journalism. While working, I passed the A2 DELE exam in Spanish, showing my work ethic and willingness to learn new languages and immerse myself in new cultures. In October 2025, I relocated from the UK to Australia, where I am working in a restaurant as I pursue a career teaching English. Please note that I currently have a beard, but I am happy to shave it to be in keeping with South Korean standards.

I am a newly qualified TEFL teacher with a 120-hour Advanced International TEFL Certificate, including specialist training in Teaching Young Learners, Business English, Advanced Grammar and IELTS preparation. I hold a Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Accounting and Finance and have experience working in both customer-facing and professional office environments. I am reliable, organised, and highly motivated, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. My background in customer service has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and confidence when working with people from different backgrounds. I work well as part of a team, manage my time effectively, and am enthusiastic about supporting students in a positive and engaging learning environment.

I have a academic background in psychology, including a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Diploma of Psychology, which has given me a solid understanding of communication, behaviour, and learning styles. I currently work as a mental health support worker, where I have gained hands-on experience building rapport, supporting individuals, and remaining calm and professional in challenging situations.

In terms of personality, I am patient, approachable, and reliable. I genuinely enjoy working with children and creating positive, encouraging environments where they feel comfortable participating and building confidence. I adapt well to new environments and am open to feedback.

My key skills include clear English communication, strong interpersonal skills, emotional awareness, and the ability to follow structure and guidelines while maintaining a positive and engaging presence.
