I have taught ESL three years online, elementary in Washington DC public schools, and have bachelors degree and masters degree from strong US institutions. My masters degree is from Columbia University and my undergrad is from Marymount College. I also have TEFL level 5

I am dedicated, hard working, and determined. I also am a very detailed oriented person and have good organization skills. I have an honest forgiving open personality. I am also proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.

I have volunteer experience as an Au pair for a year, guiding two children under the age of 10 with their English homework and lessons. It allowed me to gain knowledge of lesson planning and class organization. I highly enjoyed my experience with teaching young children.

I am passionate and dynamic or, as I like to say, “always keeping things interesting.” I have a deep love and appreciation for languages and literature. My university degree in Language and Culture has grown my appreciation for gaining new knowledge and experiences. Hello, my name is Valerie and I graduated from university in 2017 with a degree in Classical and Archaeological studies. My first language is English and I have always been educated in it. moved to England several years ago to live and complete my studies. Currently, I am in Korea, having moved here 3 months ago to work at a hagwon.

While I currently work as an English Instructor at a hagwon, I did work in education prior to coming to Korea. This was as a 1-to-1 Learning Support Assistant to Visually Impaired Students. I did a lot of specialist adaptation and this kind of work is what made me want to continue working in education as it brings me joy to see students improve.

I have a range of interests outside work. One of my main interests is visiting museums, stemming from my love of history. Another hobby of mine is cooking and other interests include a range of sport including fencing, archery, skiing and kendo. Furthermore, as history is one of my passions, I have volunteered in a library close to home as well as participating in an archiving project with the National Archives.

In addition to these interests and passions, I have developed various skills throughout my education and employment. These skills include critical thinking, communication and presentation. As well as this I am a friendly, hard-working and organised person who does not give up easily until the task is completed to a standard that I am satisfied with.

My name is Kelly Samuels, I am a 23-year-old graduate from Cape Town, South Africa. I currently have 3 qualifications, a BA majoring in English and History, A BA Hons in History and a PGCE all obtained at the University of the Western Cape. Having completed my studies whilst simultaneously working as an administrative student assistant I believe the skills I have gained thus far has prepared me to undertake a new adventure. Applying for this role will allow me to take on new experiences and opportunities by being immersed in a new culture whilst applying the knowledge I've gained through my years of tertiary education.
Thus, I am not only eager to explore but I am just as equally ready to put in the hard work, use my skills and to put my qualifications to work.
I am somewhat of an introvert with great communication skills in the workplace who loves exploring and as an affinity for great historical films.
