I do not have any formal teaching experience, however I have had brief jobs where I have been around children: I used to babysit younger children aged between 1 and 5, I have also led a summer sports academy for older children aged between 9 and 11 years old. Being a first-generation student in the UK with neither of my parents having attending university placed me under an immense amount of pressure to succeed. I have been an avid reader from a young age, which propelled me into pursuing a career in English and Education. I was an ESL student when I moved to the United States when I was nine years old.
