Due to the highly social and group based nature of a musical performance degree I have become accustomed to leading groups of varying sizes in activities. During my degree I studied teaching practices which I would love to apply on a larger scale. Prior to my degree I also studied English literature at A-Level for 2 years and have been an active reader for most of my life.

Forming new relationships, both personal and professional, comes very naturally as a result of networking throughout the course of my education and professional career. Furthermore, I worked a full time job alongside the final year of my degree and have experience handling a high workload over a long period of time.

I have a very approachable and down to earth personality, I enjoy being challenged and believe teaching abroad would provide me with valuable life experience.

I am punctual, diligent and enjoy placing myself in new environments while learning from new challenges.
I also enjoy applying humor in my day-to-day life. It is important to keep students focused on lesson plans however, it helps to apply some level of humor and fun to keep them engaged.

I have been teaching both English and Math in some capacity for over 10 years, and I love what I do. I have worked with a few organizations preparing students for standardized tests. I earned a TEFL and will be completing my teacher certification either at the end of this semester or at the beginning of next semester.

I've taught English in mostly online classrooms for the past 5 years. I have worked with kids from the young age of 3 up to around 15 years old. I am very patient and have a fun personality which has given me a lot of success with young learners. I can understand the difficulty of learning languages, I can sympathize with the students and really see how best they would learn. Before teaching in my own classes, I had tutored children with Special Needs, helping to prepare them for tests, read books, etc. I have a Bachelors degree as well as a TEFL and TESOL certificate. Although I do not have tremendous amounts of experience, the experience that I have is valuable and has given me enough to know that I love to teach, and I would do anything in my power to help students improve their English and fall in love with the language at the same time. When I was still at school, I had experience helping young learners in their Maths and Reading skills plus I also taught 11 year olds the negative impact of drugs, alcohol, and smoking. These skills were transferable, and I was able to apply them to my teaching experience in Romania.
With my experience in customer service, I have learned to be adaptable and to cater to individual needs. If my teaching methods are not engaging enough, I will evaluate the situation and change my lesson plan to a different pre-planned activity (it is important to have backups).

I am a TEFL certified recent English graduate from Nottingham Trent University with a demonstrated history of experience in childcare and education. Skilled in student mentoring, and working towards proficiency in Korean and German, I aspire to be an ESL teacher and believe my experience learning a second language myself will prove useful in teaching students.

My previous experience includes babysitting children (age 5-12), volunteer teaching in pre-schools (0-5 years) and a special education school (5-18 years). Throughout school and college I also tutored younger students (age 11-12) in English. I am currently working as a host at the National Sea Life Centre, a position that involves educating children and adults about sea creatures and the animals in the aquarium.

My experience mentoring/ teaching students of different ages groups and abilities has allowed me to develop key skills such as patience, creativity and an energetic attitude.

My strengths are that I am very studious. I do not teach a topic that I do not fully understand. I have no experience teaching English as the pandemic stopped me applying for any positions. I do have experience in teaching yoga and exercise. I may teach a small class or a large class and I have to be effective at communicating which is important as participants could injure themselves. I am also an Event Technician which involves setting up festivals and corporate evetns. Deadlines must be met and insrtuctions concise as again people could injure themselves and waste valuable time.This is particulary important as sometimes an event is just about to start.

I believe that my personality is easy going in nature and I am always curious. When conducting an exercise class I only want the participants to have fun and to learn at the same time. I am puntual take my jobs seriously. If need be I am fun, fair and firm depending on the needs of the class.

I have always liked working with younger students. I have volunteered at church teaching the elementary school students ever since I was in grade 12. I've also spent many years tutoring elementary school students and adult learners for many years.

From my experience, I've learned to be very patient and to be an active listener.

I am an enthusiastic, self-driven, and professional individual with a likeable and friendly personality as well as a can-do attitude. I am a graduate from the University of Leeds receiving a 2:1 in English Literature, a degree that helped develop skills in both written and verbal communication, critical thinking and independent decision making, time management and self-organisation.

Following my graduation, I also completed a 140 hour TEFL course, receiving excellent feedback from my personal tutor (a reference letter is available upon request).

In addition to this, I also spent 6 months in a teaching assistant position within a year 4 class (age 8/9). Within this position I worked with students one-to-one, in smaller groups of 2-8, and within the general classroom. This role boosted my confidence and knowledge in working with children and my teaching skills and ability was improved through hand on experience. In addition to this my employers provided a lot of support and advice which further assisted in the development of my skills. A specific responsibility of mine within this role were the intervention groups (groups of 4-8 children) which I independently taught daily for english, grammar, and handwriting.

Currently, I am working on a temporary basis as a cover teaching assistant in a year 3 class (ages 7/8). Many of my responsibilities are similar to my previous job position, however working in a different school and with a different age of children has further boosted my experience and confidence in the classroom. I am still teaching smaller groups of children grammar, english, and maths independently, and in addition to this I also have been teaching one-to-one phonics to some of the children.

I have also volunteered with a local youth theatre company working with children ages 4-12, assisting a small team run three weekly sessions. This has given me experience in working with a wider range of children, and also combined my love of drama and the arts with my love of teaching.

As someone who is passionate both about education and learning, I will be able to pass that passion on to my future students for both the language of English, and for education as a whole. After graduating with honors from TWU with a Bachelor's in Science for History, I have shown my dedication and perseverance in not only getting a job done right, but a job done on time and a readiness to learn from any bumps along the way. I am a patient, determined, and adaptable individual from Coleraine, a small town in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. I am a bilingual native English speaker with an extensive background in art, computers, and literature. I have always had a passion for travel and adventure, which was further reinforced during my university years.
I have lived more than three years in Asia, between Thailand and Korea. I have also traveled to and visited many other countries during this time. I have developed a deep appreciation for other cultures and find I feel most comfortable when immersed in another countries traditions.
I have previous experience teaching in the Republic of Korea. I taught students between the ages of seven and sixteen years old. I helped guide and educate students onto their future paths and found it to be a truly rewarding experience. Helping students overcome their adversities and find confidence in themselves taught me a lot about teaching. I gained invaluable experiences in teaching children and teenagers, and I discovered subtle methods of engaging each age group.
During my tenure in Korea, the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world. During this time, we were able to continue educating our students by carefully planning and following social distancing guidelines along with efficient use of personal protection equipment (PPE). I believe the skills I developed during this time were invaluable and are still of use today as variants of Covid continue to persist. I have also been fully vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. I am confident in my ability to work safely and diligently under Covid safety restrictions.

We are both native English speakers from Oxford, UK, qualified with teaching experience.

We have recently been offered a job in BangBae but this was for a Hagwon and we really are only interested in working for a public school in South Korea.

We both have degrees, I qualified in English Literature, studying modules such as Children's Literature and gained a 2:1. We also both have 120 hour TEFL qualifications, our DBS and all of these documents are notarised and apostilled- ready to go.

We also have teaching experience, mine being teaching children ,primary and secondary, in person and online for a number of years. Coaching students from GCSE level, through to A Level and even assisting in the editing of dissertations for university students. I have also given presentations and seminars at university to over 20 students with ages ranging from 18-30, this included presenting and teaching skills and creating lesson plans and worksheets.

I was hired by my university to work with people from ages 5-80 teaching them music and communication skills which I still maintain. While in college I was also sent resumes, essays, and assignments that I assisted with grammar and reading comprehension. Throughout the pandemic I continued teaching high school and elementary aged students both in-person and virtually so I have confidence in my skill to teach any age group in any platform-virtual or otherwise. I have always had an affinity for teaching and am passionate about working with others to grow their education and support them, and through my experiences I have become confident in my skills, resilient, and energized to continue working with others.
