I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching, have 12 years of full-time teaching experience and am a licensed teacher in Colorado, USA. I am TEFL certified and have a certification in Teaching Business English. I have lived abroad (in the UAE) and taught English Language Learners.

I am a very encouraging, patient, and creative person which is why I feel like I would be very suited to an English Teacher role. I decided to train to be a teacher as I want to do something worthwhile and share my enthusiasm for learning. I am also very calm and positive so in stressful situations or fast-paced environments I can stay focused. I have experience in both Secondary and Primary education as during my PGCE course I have been on placements in two secondary schools where I taught a range of students with varying abilities. I have also had a primary experience day where primary school children came to the university and I taught them lessons and I have taught primary school children French for six weeks. I have excellent communication skills as I have a degree in English Literature. I would love to share my excitement for language with children and help them become excellent communicators and open up opportunities for them. I also achieved a distinction award in my Art Foundation degree so I have various artistic skills. I love to incorporate visual language into my lessons to help to meet the students' various learning styles.

I have an undergraduate degree from Durham University and a Masters degree from the University of Oxford, both in English. I am certified with TEFL's 120-hour course, and have taught EFL previously in Hong Kong for two months over the summer, as well as working for seven months as an English teaching assistant in France. I am a young lady looking for an opportunity to impress with my great work ethic, and I want to help people, and help students to learn. Although I have no formal teaching experience, I do have experience working with children as I worked in a nursery as part of my health and social diploma. I also was a dance instructor during high school and I am now currently part of the training team at my current job. Another is the age range of the students since I have experience working with children aged between five and twelve in a sports coaching role. I don't have any experience in teaching but I worked in an exercise clinic for a year and a half in Vancouver that gave me plenty experience in leading a groups of individuals and educating them in health. In this position I was responsible for leading online classes, taking a group of 4-8 through an exercise programme, guiding them in how to perform exercises correctly and answering any questions they had in relation to those exercises or just to their general health and fitness. I also supervised sessions within the clinic and acted as a support system and educator to the members we had, making sure they were performing exercises safely and correctly and also being a motivator for them to help them through their exercise routine. This position provided me with so much responsibility and allowed me to become more confident in teaching exercises and helping my members progress and adapt a healthier way of life.
My personality is very upbeat and happy, I can be shy in the beginning but very quickly come out of my shell when I am comfortable with my surroundings. I am very active and enjoy the gym and outdoor activities, I love cooking and trying new things and I love visiting new places.
