I have worked for a bank (NatWest) for over 5 years and this has helped me to develop excellent communication skills with people of all ages including children. This job has given me the opportunity to train new members of staff which would help me with teaching English as I am aware of how difficult it can be to learn new skills. During my time in the Planning Committee of FOCUS, a program for first-generation college students I became well adjusted and acquired many skills that were essential to the role. My interpersonal and organizational skills excelled as I was able to effectively communicate with various administrations and companies to allow for a smooth operation of a scholarly event. Furthermore, being a mentor helped my fundamentals and shaped my career path which strengthened my networking and critical thinking skills. By teaching the first-generation students and being a positive role model in their lives I began to grow as an individual. I also acquired a keen sense to detail and time management while working my part time job as a personal shopper as I was in charge of many customer orders as well as training and teaching new hires the duties of the job. As well as my time at these places, I volunteered at a youth care center, this allowed me to engage in various activities with K-12 students further expanding my skillset.

I am a motivated worker who always brings her best. I work well as part of a team, and also flourish when working alone. I enjoy meeting new people, having new experiences and travelling. I am a positive person who likes to put a smile on peoples faces and make others laugh. I am also good with time, and enjoy planning out my free time and using a diary to keep track of any events in my life.

I am tech savvy, which I believe is an extremely useful skill. I am a good listener, I enjoy letting other talk and listening to their problems – a main reason why I chose to study Psychology at University. I would consider myself to have good communication skills, and good with self-management.

I volunteered in a primary school a few years ago, helping teach literacy and take care of the kids (aged 5-8). I also have a younger sister who I have helped study during her GCSE's and now A-levels. I am easily adaptable and learn quickly.

I am a 27 year old English native with a university degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. I have completed a 80-hour TEFL Teaching Course and have four years of teaching experience in Spain, teaching all levels and ages, especially B2, C1 and C2 Cambridge exam preparation. I currently work in one of the most competitive industries in the UK, the Financial Services Industry. This experience has shaped my knowledge and skills hugely. For example, I manage large projects to bring new business opportunities, which require high levels of dedication, hard work and creativity. I believe that these skills are transferable to a teaching position as I will be looking after various students and it is my responsibility to ensure they are progressing educationally. Therefore, I would need to put a specific set of skills together to make this happen, such as the skills mentioned previously.

Furthermore, I can adapt well when faced with change. This is because I see this from a positive point of view in that change can present a new learning opportunity. I take the same outlook when faced with issues and in fact, I tend to keep my cool as this will keep me focused to find a solution. Overall, I can manage different situations with confidence, and I am aware that being a teacher can bring various situations on a day-to-day basis.

I grew up bilingual, speaking both English and French, and have always loved languages, as I believe they are a way to open yourself to a new culture and experiences.
Having studied abroad, I have experienced English lessons as a native speaker, and had an outside understanding of how ESL classes are conducted.
I studied English language, litterature and civilisation at University and then went on to complete a TEFL certification with TEFL.org. Although I have not taught English to students (outside of the TEFL course) yet, I have experience with working with children as a dance teacher.

For more than 15 years now, my extensive career in online ESL teaching gave me the opportunity to hone my skills with the following Certifications: TESOL certified Educator and TEFL with TEYL.
I also love to travel. Having a conversation or just meeting new people of different backgrounds can be fun and engaging as well. During my spare time, you would find me in the kitchen preparing a dish or a meal for my family and some friends. As a former tutor and dance instructor, I have a lot of experience in interacting with young students. I have a 9 months teaching experience, it has been an amazing 9 months of my life and challenging at the same time.

This past year I graduated with three degrees in English, International Studies, and Japanese Studies. All three of these degrees have enhanced my skill set in a way that would greatly benefit an ESL instructor. My English degree honed my understanding of the English language, my International Studies degree nurtured an appreciation for and desire to learn more about cultures outside of my own, and my Japanese Studies degree gave me a first hand grasp on what it means to be a student of a second language. Ultimately, my studies provided me with both the tools and the empathy necessary to be an ESL instructor abroad.

Beyond my educational background, I also have spent the past year as an English instructor to children aged 6-11. I teach several courses ranging from Elementary English to Speechwriting and Storytelling. Since my lessons are remote, I am able to give lessons to students outside of the country including one student I teach who is from Malaysia. These experiences as an instructor have given invaluable insight into what it means to be an English instructor, as well as what it means to be an English instructor for students who come from countries where English is not the primary language.

In my free time I enjoy traveling. One of my favorite travel experiences was to South Korea. I was lucky enough to spend a summer abroad in South Korea while taking courses at Yonsei University. I managed to spend some time traveling around the country and enjoyed the experience immensely. This trip also has prepared me for the next time I am in the country, in respect to cultural differences and possible struggles as a foreigner staying in Korea.

I have previous experience teaching English to students of a wide age range in Moscow. I have also taught several students online. Currently, I am completing my 188 hour TEFL course with the aim to have this completed by the end of July.

I am a very driven person and love a new challenge. I've always been inquisitive and love to inspire others to pursue their passion. I take work very seriously as I like to be the best I can be in a role but I also cherish the importance of personal time.
