I have worked in many sectors in the corporate world and have learnt many new English words from those sectors. I would like the opportunity to work as an English teacher as I have tutored my fellow pupils from secondary school all the way to my years as a student at Business School.
I do have a TEFL qualification along with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree.

In the last two years I have had the pleasure of teaching middle school students of multiple levels, and believe that such experience has given me the skills necessary to lead students of varying abilities on their language learning journeys. At the start of my time with EPIK, I learned the skills necessary to plan and lead engaging and effective lessons from my co-teachers, and am proud to have continued to build on those skills independently throughout my educational career. I am, and always have been a strong proponent of education at any age, and teaching English and History abroad has been my goal for many years. Although, I have not taught officially, I have four grown up children, who have become very successful in their fields of work. I have also taken the opportunity to volunteer as a classroom assistant as they were growing up. As a family we moved a lot due to my ex-husbands deployments, so ensuring their understanding of the English and other subjects was essential. I currently volunteer at my local library where I often sit and help young children of all ages and nationalities read and borrow books. I am aware of the requirements within an education setting, as I was Personal Assistant, to the Director of Education, Church of England, Manchester Diocese, I have experience of working with the 112 schools within the Diocese.

I believe that combining nature and science to educate children, is also an essential element, which has a strong and a positive impact on children's education. Subsequently, I would encourage the school to incorporate these into any curriculum, which would include growing fruit, vegetables and flowers, as I want encourage children to understand how their food is grown, as well as to see the satisfaction they have at growing something themselves. Teaching has been something I have gained most of my experience in, helped by my parents being teachers themselves. My main experience has been recently, where I have been teaching english in Thailand, cementing my want to teach and helped me gain confidence in my ability to teach english in another country adapting to a new setting and culture. This was supported by my experience in PGL where I taught children about outdoor activities and instructed them in trapese and jacobs ladder, this gave me the understanding how to make things safe while also making the activities fun for a range of ages from 7-16. I focus more on each kids needs and learning abilities and try to accomodate each child which sometimes ends up with me spending more time on certain chapter than i should.That is a strength and a weakness because ,my students get to undertand more but sometimes we fall behind with what is expected according to the time frames give.
