I have visited over 30 countries in the last 6 years.
One of my favorited experiences was volunteering during the summer of 2019 at an English Cafe in Daejon, South Korea. Since then, I knew that one day I would come back for a more immersive experience teaching English.

I am a graduate with an upper division second class honors in History and Politics and a wealth of relevant experience volunteering as a Teaching Assistant. I am looking to further develop my career as a teacher. I have obtained many transferable skills working in a variety of roles. My relevant experience includes the following highlights:

I have worked in various administration roles while volunteering in my free time. In 2019, I obtained some teaching experience at Playbox Theatre volunteering as a Teaching Assistant. I observed and reviewed lessons and I learned what is expected of a teacher and how to be an effective, engaging, and encouraging educator. Since then, I have completed the Outward-Bound Skills for Life award and the National Citizens Service award and I have been successful in securing classroom experience at a private school in the United Kingdom, which is due to commence in the coming weeks.

I am highly organised, and hardworking and I can present new content and activities clearly. While completing my TEFL qualification, I created lessons for a variety of levels from pre-intermediate to advanced, and learned how to convey difficult grammar rules simply. As part of the course, I created materials and resources and accessed other materials online. I have excellent subject knowledge, and I am passionate about the English language. I believe that my experience and qualifications will ensure that I can improve students' language acquisition and put all that I learned while completing my TEFL qualification into a practical application.

My experience working with children in a boys' boarding house has honed my ability to communicate effectively, build trust, and adapt to the dynamic needs of young individuals. I am a recently qualified teacher with a QTS and have had many placements over my time at university, teaching those from various religious, racial and economic backgrounds. During summers inbetween university years I have also taught at summer camps in Romania, Austria and most recently in London encountering students from all over the world.

One of the reasons for becoming a teacher was the opportunity to teach abroad and South Korea is somewhere I would love to gain experience in as I have heard so much about the country through my partner who has taught South Korean students.

I am patient, flexible and organised, which is something that I have been able to put into practice whilst teaching over the past three years. Whilst my university degree specialises in ages 3-7 I have had practice with teaching ages up to 18 so I am ready for some new experiences and shows my adaptability to new students and places!

Overall, I would love the opportunity to teach in a new country and learn more about the culture through teaching students as well as exploring the country.

I have been teaching English as a foreign language for the past three years, both online and in the classroom. Most recently, I taught at a summer school in London, where I encountered students from all over the world, with varying levels of English. I have also been a teaching assistant in Spain, a camp leader in Romania, and taught many online classes too.

I was teaching with a South Korean company online for 1 year, so I had many experiences talking to students from Korea, learning about their lives and culture, and it has made me very excited to visit the country and learn more about it.

I am adaptable and love travelling and learning about new cultures, so teaching in a new country is an exciting challenge that I am ready for. My strengths include patience, a love for teaching, and flexibility. I am a good listener; something I have learnt is very important for teaching as all students learn at different rates, and some students are more shy than others. I like to be challenged, and that's why I have had experience teaching students of all ages, from kindergarten all the way to adults.

Overall, I am a confident and motivated teacher in the classroom and have a passion for teaching English. I would love the challenge of teaching in South Korea.

I am writing to express my interest in the teaching positions you have available in South Korea. I am an Irish and UK citizen with a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice. I have a 120 hour TEFL qualification, including teaching large classrooms and online.

In my spare time I am a sports coach for my local ladies GAA football team. I am responsible for planning training sessions and coaching the team, most aged between 16 and 32 years old. We have established a successful period over 2 seasons, winning three titles.
