Some of these enriching experiences include the Children's literacy center, in which I established a professional and open rapport with my student; working at the Worner Campus Center at Colorado College as a manager in which I offered a multitude of customer services along with managing over 20 student assistants. And one of my most fun and recent experiences was teaching social studies at Keystone Academy in Beijing to students ages 5 to 14 years old.

As a CELTA certified English teacher, during my teaching practice, I worked with wonderful adult learners, ranging in age from late teens to late sixties. My students also varied in their English proficiency from lower intermediate to upper intermediate. From this experience, I learned a lot about meeting my students' needs, time management, and classroom management.
Currently I teach English and critical thinking online through Aha! Academy to Chinese international students in their late teens and twenties. Through teaching in this one-on-one capacity, I have grown in my ability to guide students in their communication skills and cultural awareness. Previously, I taught weekly 3 hour American Culture and Conversation classes for international graduate students at UCLA to facilitate a smooth transition to the US. In this position, I was responsible for lesson-planning in addition to teaching.

I am a higly motivated, self driven individual with a great passion for transforming the lives of children through good education. I have been a volunteer tutor at the Vukani ma- africa community project , teaching English and Mathamatics to underprivileged children and some of those with special needs for over 5 years; their ages range between 5 and 18. The greatest highlight of my educational career was in 2006 when I was awarded with the best reader certificate in Horizon View Primary school.

I am a positive and self motivated young lady who has acquired extensive experience in being a team player and being independent. I've obtained this experience through working with an NGO where I had to complete a project on implementing a Public Relations campaign and a Human Resources Internship at the City of Johannesburg. This organisation is an organisation that seeks to create a healthy school environment for children in disadvantaged areas in rural Eastern Cape. During my time there I helped prepare children for their exams. It was thus through my interaction with these children that I began to realise a new passion emerging through my interaction with these children, teaching. I have also had tutoring experience. This experience helped me to not only understand the challenges of teaching but the rewards of teaching as well.

I am Hlezi 흘레지 – I currently hold a Bachelor of Communications from the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia. Upon completing university, I chose to work in the tertiary space for South Africa's top private institution a student advisor. I have 3.5 years TEFL teaching experience in South Korea. I taught at the middle school and university levels while in Korea. I taught at an all boys middle school in Geumsan, Chunchungnam-do that had 900 students where I was the sole native English teacher. I was an Associate Professor at Sejong University where I taught Koreans and international students of all years, but mainly freshman and sophomore students 4-skills and writing courses. I also taught job skills courses, Introductory Economics, Contemporary Korean History, Negotiations and OPIc courses. These additional courses I developed the curriculum for them in addition to teaching them.

After looking for a job since 2017 , I then decided to further my studies through LearnTEFL. Throughout my TEFL course I've learned that education should not be taken for granted and therefore no child should be left behind on education. My strength is that I'm a hardworking collaborative individual who believes in synergy. My TEFL Course duration takes 6 months to complete and I once again exceeded my expectation and completed the course within a month. My weakness is that I'm a hard-worker and end up losing track of time due to work dedication.

I have experience informally teaching English to people of varying ability. Whilst volunteering at the Hope Café in Athens I helped people of all ages improve their English, I noticed that the children were particularly driven to reach a level of near fluency and so I dedicated much of my time to helping them. I also attended Conversation Club while at university, which involved helping the local refugees (from many different countries) improve their English. I believe that this has given me much needed experience of communicating with people who do not speak English as a first language.
