Hello, my name is Isabelle Webster, preferably known as Bella. I am currently 21 years old, teaching 3-12 year olds in Thailand.
I consider myself a very positive person. I like to keep optimism high, and remain positive even in the face of difficult and stressful situations. I am also very organised. Considering my current situation, I must keep on top of my schedule when teaching, always making sure that I know what my lessons contain, and planning them. I am also organised in my personal life, keeping ahead of my spending and more! Outside of work, I enjoy hiking & walking. Exploring new places is a really fun way to get to know my surroundings and see beautiful sights! Travelling is also an interest that I am exploring, which is why I am currently teaching in Thailand, and would love to have the opportunity to teach in S.Korea.
I have always been interested in teaching, teaching being my first dream job. To date, I have had experience volunteering in a primary school in the UK for around 1 month. I then have a small roles throughout high school and collage, where I would voluntarily help out the younger years get to grip with school life. Adding to this, by February I will have worked as an English Teacher in Thailand for four months!
This job has been extremely valuable. I feel as though I now have a good understanding of how to get kids attention, create engaging lessons, and make sure that fun is had in the classroom. I feel confident in my teaching, and would love to have the chance to become an even better English Teacher!

My biggest strengths in relation to this role stem from previous experience I have had tutoring children in the UK, and the skills I have developed throughout my academic endeavours.

Tutoring experience –

In university I tutored students on GCSE English and History. This was a useful introduction into teaching. I now understand the importance of effective lesson planning, connecting with students on a personal level, and teaching students to think on their feet.

University experience –

I have developed a range of skills during my university degree which are relevant to a role teaching English. Two very relevant ones are;

Communication – I am a clear and effective communicator. My university degree has shaped my ability to select relevant information and present it clearly, wether in the written or verbal form. my experience tutoring has further developed this.

I am an easily adaptable individual, I have moved location for my studies and work many times before and always quickly settle into any manner of new surroundings. I have a passion for learning, with a great deal of patience when it comes to imparting knowledge and teaching others. Having spent extra years in education, I have a keen insight into the more desirable qualities of a teacher. I have an extremely creative outlook in life, due partly to my subject of study at university. I have a very strong grasp of the importance of creativity in personal development. I am very hardworking, during my studies I was able to hold down a tough job in a kitchen and still go through extra curricular lessons in language, all this and I still managed to gain the top grade in my university course.
I have an enormous capacity for patience and respect that certain aspects of learning take time and care to properly sink in. I am also a very kind and caring person, I pride myself in my ability to build and maintain working relationships across all age groups. I am as adaptable to my setting as I am with the people I spend time with. I have a great deal of interests and hobbies and make sure to create time for them all this requires me to have a very structured week, which I enjoy planning at the beginning of every new week. Most importantly I believe I am fun. Having experience with children due to having grown up in a house from which a child minding business was run and having experience in a challenging workplace, I feel I have a very good rapport with both children and adults alike. I come from a science background with my schooling and jobs related to science. In recent years I have been looking to travel by teaching English abroad so I completed a TEFL certification. I do not have teaching experience but my certification course made me eager to teach where I believe I could be a good teacher and have fun teaching

I am in the process of completing my bachelors degree in Education with modern languages as my specialism.
