With a background in children's cardiac critical care nursing, a Level 5 TEFL certificate, and primary school work experience completed as part of my MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, I bring a distinctive combination of clinical expertise, classroom exposure, and a deep understanding of how children learn and develop. My current role as a project associate in clinical research has further strengthened my ability to plan, structure, and evaluate — skills that translate directly into lesson design and tracking learner progress.
I am a confident, organised leader with a warm and approachable manner, and I am genuinely passionate about children's development. Years of working in high-pressure clinical environments have made me calm under pressure, highly adaptable, and attuned to the needs of young people. From this experience, I quickly notice when a child is struggling and respond with sensitivity and action. My MSc equips me to support learners' emotional wellbeing alongside their academic progress, which I see as inseparable in effective teaching. I am also experienced in cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary settings, comfortable working with diverse groups, and able to adapt my communication style to suit different needs. Finally, I am digitally competent, with experience across data management systems and collaborative tools in both clinical and research contexts.
