I am an experienced ESL professional with over three years teaching in China behind me. Communication with non-english speakers is natural to me, and I have had the chance to polish the skill through regular interraction with clients and children of a versatile range of ages and backgrounds. I have further honed adaptability in an academic setting through additional roles such as demo teacher, admissions assessor, talent show host, and private tutor. Aiding local teachers in their correspondance with parents shows that I am a dedicated team-player and strive towards building positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
I consider myself to be someone who enjoys learning and encouraging others to learn. I love exploring new cultures and gaining an appreciative understanding of my host country. Bridging cultural differences is a hugely rewarding experience. Within the classroom, I am enthusiastic, energetic and promote learning through fun. “Laugh, learn, live,” is a motto that encapsulates my approach to teaching that I hope will resonate with my students-past and future.
