Teaching a second language to young and old takes efforts and time, not just knowledge and skills. If you are looking for a passionate teacher who is considerate and caring, as well as skilled in the art of teaching, I am the perfect choice for your institution.

I am experienced in teaching Business English to adults with various backgrounds, as well as teaching young children between the age of 4 – 15 years old.

I mainly focus in teaching conversational English and the emphasis is on practical use of the language, not just for the exams.

Although I have spent most of my life in South Korea, I left the country at a young age, and I studied in the United States of America for more than eight years. I am confident that I am capable of teaching English fluently at a Korean-English academy.

I already have three years of teaching experience in South Korea at an academy called “GE,” in Ilsan and “Sehan” in Daechi, where I was in charge of all of their upper-level literature and writing classes. Undoubtedly, both parents and students showed great affection and respect for me because of my passionate yet meticulous style of teaching. I dedicated immense amounts of time preparing for my classes, and everyone was able to hear my loud voice resonating across the entire building. Furthermore, I have always treated my students with sincerity so that they do not feel uncomfortable around me at all. I have always carefully prepared all of their daily, weekly, and monthly assignments.

Additionally, I am capable of producing my own R&D for literature courses as I have extensive knowledge about many books for all different AR-Levels. A lot of my students were particularly satisfied with my literature classes as I dedicated a lot of time covering all of the symbolism and metaphor hidden in the book. Moreover, although I had to reject their offer regrettably due to military service, after I graduated from Columbia College Chicago, I had an opportunity to enroll in their Master's Program for Creative Writing along with 50% of scholarship, given straight from the University, so my expertise in writing is equally great to my understanding of literature. Therefore, despite my lack of experience teaching English in Korea, I still have full confidence in my ability to teach at your academy.

I was able to learn the advantages of various educational systems while working in different educational institutions such as alternative schools, international schools, and language academies. All of these experiences are being applied to help students learn more efficiently in the future. I prefer assisting fellow teachers when they are facing challenging situations. Additionally, I have a basic knowledge of computer programming and can utilize AI for material creation.

My work experience with children have been deep rooted in me as one of the first older students within my Korean community. Tutoring them throughout my high school and college years, I have tried to continue the Korean educational pride among the community. Throughout college, I engaged in community service working with underserved populations to teach kids who do not have stable homes and support. After college, the majority of my professional career has been working with kids in the nation's top pediatric hospital. Working with kids who shine through even with illnesses that they carry has only grown my desire to work more alongside children.

I am a professional teacher of Korean, and Korean language expert.

I started my teaching career at a high school in my home country in 1986 and since then, I have been teaching Korean subject at Secondary school level within my home country and abroad. Currently I am teaching at one of the high schools in my home country.

So far, I have provided my students with the quality educational service along with sincere pastoral care and the differentiated optimal learning experience, which has accommodated each student’s various needs.

I have led many students toward academic excellence and assisted them with good interpersonal skills in the matter of each one’s character-building and fulfilling own full potential.

Also, I have been known as a teacher having made an excellent result of the success in pupils’ university entrance test.

As a teacher of Korean, I am equipped with the extensive and in-depth subject knowledge, teaching skills, and an exceptional ability of designing lesson/assessment material on the full range of Korean language & literature in accordance with subject specification of Korean mother tongue proficiency course and foreigners’ second language acquisition course.
