ESL Teachers

Experience: In my 6 months experience as an online ESL teacher, I focused on providing an innovative, fun and inspiring classroom. I taught conversational English lessons, reading, grammer, vocabulary and pronunciation.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and I’m also a certified TEFL teacher with 168 hours certificate.I have been teaching ESL in South Korea for about a year now. I am teaching elementary to middle school students. I taught my students grammar, reading, writing and conversational English. To add to my qualification and experience I am a friendly person, patient and easygoing person.

I'm a native English speaker, qualified TEFL teacher and experienced writer of business English. I am a passionate, hard-working, and dedicated person who strives to bring enthusiasm to everything I do. I am also patient and empathetic, which makes me a great fit for teaching.

I have just completed my Level 5 TEFL certification, so I can share my love of English with others. I also have a First Class Honours (BSc) degree from Manchester Metropolitan University.

My Level 5 TEFL certification was a combination of classroom teaching, online lessons, and assignments. I completed 30 hours of classroom time, learning how to plan successful and engaging lessons as well as teach them effectively. I also learned how best to support students and manage the class. The diplomas within the online course were:

– Teaching large classes
– Teaching virtual classes.

I’m also currently working part time as an ESOL Teaching Assistant for Elementary up to Intermediate level students at the JET North Programme. We help newly arrived migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees with their English skills with the goal and finding work. My main responsibilities are:
– Assisting the Lead Tutor with explaining new learnings and tasks to the students
– Teaching grammar and vocabulary
– Providing students support with useful English skills including:
o Informal and formal English writing skills
o Listening for gist and detail
o Speaking for interviews
– Monitoring the class and reporting back any common errors or questions to the Lead Tutor
– Leading on specific activities throughout the lesson, following the PPP structure
– Managing behaviour in the classroom
– Safeguarding and providing advice to those who need it
– Organising the classroom for activities and distributing materials.

I have done a lot of work writing specialised business and marketing English in my role as Content Lead for a technology company. I have also trained other members of my team and helped with their writing skills.

I am a well-established Product Development specialist in the Financial Service Provider Industry.
In my first year, I successfully completed major projects in the product space, Such as Renewals for Medical Insurance and GAP cover.

I'm a timid and patient person, who gains satisfaction from helping others.

I have worked and been in a teaching positions in many different jobs and countries due to military, civilian, and academic experience i have. I graduated from Temple University this year with my bachelors and I also hold a Aerospace degree from the United States military.

While I don't have a lot of experience in direct classroom teaching to children, I hope that my experience and qualifications prove my dedication and ability to learn quickly. I have worked in many sectors in the corporate world and have learnt many new English words from those sectors. I would like the opportunity to work as an English teacher as I have tutored my fellow pupils from secondary school all the way to my years as a student at Business School.

Currently I'm teaching grade 4 in an American IB school in Mexico and seeking a new position for the 2024-25 academic year.
