ESL Teachers

I am Lungile Manana, 22 years of age. I am a very reliable person, flexible, kind, punctual and positive. My love for learning has made me work in different fields, and I've done very well. I have worked as a teaching assistant in 2019 and I loved every moment of it, I felt pure in the presence of children, working with fellow teachers and having to plan team building activities was the best for me. I then got a job for being a promoter with which I learnt report writing and working in pressured environment, being open minded and understanding people's needs and having to assist meet them. I believe one of my greatest strengths is patience, being patient with people until they get satisfied or meet their desired goal. I believe I will be the right candidate as I have a background of how a classroom should be, and mostly how to be with children in school.

I am a team player who is very adaptable and can be productive in different situations – planned for or otherwise. I have 3+ years experience teaching children and young adults aged 3 – 25 years old. As a result, I've gained the skills to connect with students of different ages and find ways to engage them and make a lesson productive and fun at the same time. Furthermore, I have experience teaching both online and offline, and in different sized classes. Thus, I know that I am able to adapt materials and lessons to be able to conduct the same material in different ways depending on what is available and what is provided to me.

Despite lacking formal teaching experience, my strength lies in my ability to impart knowledge effectively, cultivated through guiding and instructing my younger siblings. This hands-on engagement has granted me valuable insights into tailoring explanations to individual needs, fostering patience, and adapting teaching methods to ensure comprehension. My vibrant and energetic personality, coupled with strong social skills, enables me to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. These qualities contribute to my effectiveness as an educator, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and active participation among students.

Teaching has been something I have gained most of my experience in, helped by my parents being teachers themselves. My main experience has been recently, where I have been teaching english in Thailand, cementing my want to teach and helped me gain confidence in my ability to teach english in another country adapting to a new setting and culture. This was supported by my experience in PGL where I taught children about outdoor activities and instructed them in trapese and jacobs ladder, this gave me the understanding how to make things safe while also making the activities fun for a range of ages from 7-16. Furthermore, these experiences guided me to be someone who can quickly pick up new skills and gave me the initiative to research new methods of engagement in teaching as well as me having fun teaching people how to face their fears, or looking after them as a Group leader. Overall, my experiences have allowed me to open to advice and feedback as I rather learn how to do something better, then stick to something which may work but isn't allowing the students to reach their full potential.

I focus more on each kids needs and learning abilities and try to accomodate each child which sometimes ends up with me spending more time on certain chapter than i should.That is a strength and a weakness because ,my students get to undertand more but sometimes we fall behind with what is expected according to the time frames give.

My name is Erin and I am an enthusiastic teacher wanting to broaden my experience and skills in the teaching world. In the past I have been a tutor, English homeschool teacher and coach which have allowed me to build a good set of skills to prepare me for a position in this field. In life and as a teacher I am patient and organized. I believe in catering to my students and in the importance of adapting to individual needs. I am a good leader, have excellent time management skills and am a good active listener. As well, I am am empathetic, caring and understanding person which I believe can be equally as important as a teacher then in classroom skills. Through these personality traits, experiences and skills I believe I am well suited for a role as an ESL teacher in South Korea and believe I could be very successful if placed in this position.

Creative and culturally sensitive teaching professional with 3 years of ESL teaching experience. Grew up and educated in the United States, but has lived in several other countries including China, Japan, and South Korea. Worked as an English teacher for Global Leaders Christian School in Ilsan and as an Assistant Language teacher in Japan. Experienced with teaching students from elementary to high school, tutoring one on one, working with a variety of class sizes, substitute teaching, and organizing English events such as speech contests and English camps.

In Highschool I worked abroad with GLA and taught English in Tanzania for 3 months.

I went to College and obtained my Bachelors in English from Lewis and Clark College. During my studies, I worked as a TA (Teaching Assistant) for a professional project management course.

I have 3.5 years of work experience as an IT tech/Classroom assistant for a Law school. I am well-versed in classroom technologies, including skype, audio, zoom, PowerPoint, tablets, Wacom, and other technological tools.

I am outgoing, positive, cheerful, and an excellent communicator.

In this position, I am looking to grow my classroom management skillset and improve my curriculum in order to ensure the success of my students and to help others abroad.

I have recently graduated with a BA History degree from the University of Exeter (in the UK) and I am a friendly, patient, empathetic people person with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. I believe I possess several qualities that make a good teacher, such as kindness, compassion and the desire to help others, and I would like to become an inspiring and approachable figure for my students, creating a classroom environment that provides them with a safe space to enjoy and develop their learning. I am a motivated, collaborative and creative individual, a good listener and a dedicated learner with proven communication and time management skills. I have completed a 120 hour premier TEFL course and a 30 hour teaching Young Learners course (both online) and I also have some classroom experience — I am currently volunteering at my old primary school as a teaching assistant for the early year groups (ages 4-9) and I enjoy collaborating to create lesson plans, assess work and provide pastoral care. I also took part in a number of mentoring and voluntary teaching schemes whilst at school and University which included supporting students with special learning requirements and disabilities. My personal hobbies include a lifelong love of literature (I read as much as I can!) and I am a dedicated film nerd who regularly goes to the cinema, I love good food, anything related to history and I enjoy exploring and spending time with friends.
