My name is Caleigh De Luca. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education (General Curriculum) from Georgia State University. I also hold a California Multiple Subject Teacher Certification.

For the past three and a half years, I have been teaching at Fulton Science Academy Private School, where I had the privilege of working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Prior to that, I gained experience in various classroom settings, which helped me develop a strong understanding of adapting my teaching style to meet the needs of different learners. I also have experience in South Korea international school with younger students. I specialize in designing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of all students. Additionally, I hold Gifted In-Field Certificate and STEM Education Endorsement.

With a diverse background that includes teaching at international schools and academies overseas, I have developed a strong sense of adaptability and a quick learning mindset. These qualities enable me to thrive in new environments and tackle challenges both inside and outside the classroom with confidence. As a firm believer that teachers are lifelong learners, I am committed to fostering meaningful connections with my students and creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment where they can flourish.

In my current job at Chaucer College I quickly found a love for teaching and helping students from all different walks of life. I have also worked as an independant music teacher, with younger students too. Every week at work I have worked with people from different countries, teaching them English along the way, gaining many beautiful memories already. To describe myself, I would say I am as supportive as possible, and I like to make learning a fun and engaging experience. I do genuinely enjoy my work and my wish would be able to carry part of that over with me. This experience would not only be a good chance for students to learn off of me, but for me to learn off of them too. I have a strong background in communication, leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration developed through my studies in Commerce International at UCD, a year abroad in Belgium, and work experience in both Ireland and New York. My TEFL certification has equipped me with practical classroom strategies and lesson planning skills for diverse learners.

My experience and willingness to learn are two major assets I would bring to your workplace. My prior engagements with the Writing Center at Lake Forest College, BlingABC online teaching, and Prorsum: The Invisible Force Behind taught me the logistics of teaching grammar, essay construction, and literature analysis to students. I learned there that a good tutor is intuitive, pays attention to the student’s needs, and adapts to unexpected circumstances. I am a quick learner and know that every day I will face new opportunities to grow. While I have much to offer your establishment, I also know that working as a teacher with this company will teach me many valuable lessons.

I am a motivated self starter, with a passion for teaching and a thorough understanding of English language and cultures. Through my 200 hour TEFL course I refined my knowledge of English grammar and honed my teaching skills. Through tutoring maths and physics to GCSE and A-level students (both one-to-one and in classes), I learnt to engage and encourage unmotivated learners whilst exercising class control and organisation.

At The University of Manchester I studied mathematics with financial mathematics. This included business modules, giving me a thorough grounding in business English, financial reporting and management techniques. I enrolled on an extended module that focused on maths education in which I learnt types of learning, levels of understanding, and completed an extended project which included analysis of a lesson.
For six years I have coached table tennis to a range of age groups. This has given me further experience in using a wide range of strategies to create a fun and productive learning environment. At university I was elected president of the table tennis society, here I showed leadership and worked effectively under tight budgetary restrictions.

I bring a strong combination of empathy, patience, and creativity to my teaching approach. My experience working with children and teens in both educational and creative settings has strengthened my ability to connect with learners and adapt to their needs. I approach every classroom with understanding and encouragement, creating a positive environment where students feel supported and confident. I have extensive international teaching experience across Vietnam, Spain, the Czech Republic, and the UK, working both online and in classrooms with learners of all ages and abilities. My background includes teaching young learners, teenagers, and adults, as well as exam preparation, Business English, and general ESL. I have also supported children as a Supply Teacher and Teaching Assistant in UK schools, which has given me valuable experience in inclusive education and working with a range of learning needs.
