I am a skilled and confident communicator both in front of small and large groups. Throughout my career as a lawyer I have developed an inherent calmness and resilience and as such can perform multiple tasks at the same time under pressure. I am very proactive and keen to learn new skills even this far into my career. These skills and experience I believe make me an excellent candidate for this position. As per your job ad I also have many years experience of tutoring and mentoring children in sports in a voluntary capacity which I believe would strengthen my application.

I have worked as a Learning Support Assistant at the University of Southampton for the past 4 years. During that time I have worked with a variety of students and done a range of work including notetaking, exam support and supporting at open days. As a PhD student I also worked with lecturers as a Demonstrator, as well as teaching some lectures in my specialty. I am a hard worker who enjoys being in a learning environment. I have strong organisational skills and am always excited to learn new things. I have been studying Korean by myself for 3 years and would love the chance to be in an environment that could foster my learning.

I have worked with children and young people at every stage of their development (from Early Years through to Young Adults), as well as those who are recognised by Statutory Authorities as having SEND. Working within Nurseries, Schools, Colleges and Agencies has allowed me to develop the confidence to deliver support to Students whose Learning Styles, Abilities and Needs can differ from others.

As an individual, I possess the characteristics that enable me to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, where learners feel able to ask questions, take risks and grow in confidence.

Throughout my career, I have taught English to learners from diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels. As a Lead English Teacher at EF English First in Indonesia, I designed and delivered communicative English lessons, mentored fellow teachers, and monitored student progress through ongoing assessment. Prior to that, I taught English through the LEAF Program in Iowa, helping learners develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

My teaching approach focuses on creating practical, learner-centered lessons that build confidence and encourage real-world communication. I enjoy helping students achieve measurable progress and adapting instruction to meet individual needs and professional goals. Having worked with learners from different cultures, I am comfortable teaching both in-person and online and thrive in dynamic educational settings.

My strengths include working with children, adolescents, and adults in educational, tutoring, wellness, and community-based settings. I have experience as a substitute teacher, private tutor, youth mentor, and online facilitator, which has allowed me to work with learners of different ages, backgrounds, and learning styles.

I am patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic, and I enjoy creating positive and supportive learning environments where students feel comfortable participating and building confidence. I am passionate about helping others learn and believe in encouraging students through interactive and engaging lessons.

I bring more than 10 years of professional experience in communications, public outreach, and international environments, including roles in local government, diplomacy, and public affairs. Through that work, I developed strong communication, organization, and presentation skills, along with the ability to adapt quickly and connect with people from different backgrounds.

Personality-wise, I’m warm, creative, dependable, and encouraging. I enjoy working with people, creating positive environments, and helping others feel comfortable and confident.

In terms of skills, I’m especially strong in communication, lesson planning, public speaking, creativity, and cross-cultural interaction. I’m also highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing both structured tasks and fast-paced situations.

With a background in children's cardiac critical care nursing, a Level 5 TEFL certificate, and primary school work experience completed as part of my MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, I bring a distinctive combination of clinical expertise, classroom exposure, and a deep understanding of how children learn and develop. My current role as a project associate in clinical research has further strengthened my ability to plan, structure, and evaluate — skills that translate directly into lesson design and tracking learner progress.
I am a confident, organised leader with a warm and approachable manner, and I am genuinely passionate about children's development. Years of working in high-pressure clinical environments have made me calm under pressure, highly adaptable, and attuned to the needs of young people. From this experience, I quickly notice when a child is struggling and respond with sensitivity and action. My MSc equips me to support learners' emotional wellbeing alongside their academic progress, which I see as inseparable in effective teaching. I am also experienced in cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary settings, comfortable working with diverse groups, and able to adapt my communication style to suit different needs. Finally, I am digitally competent, with experience across data management systems and collaborative tools in both clinical and research contexts.

I'm an energetic and outgoing 3D Game Artist who loves creating worlds just as much as I love exploring the real one; whether that's practicing yoga, training Muay Thai, hitting the gym, or traveling the globe. I recently graduated with a Bachelor's in Visual Arts, and I bring the same teamwork and problem solving skills I learned on game projects like Katar into every room I enter. With over 1,000 films logged on Letterboxd, I'm full of stories and always ready to chat about anything from animation to adventure. I keep things light, creative, and positive, and I have a real knack for making people feel comfortable and excited to learn. Professionally, I'm skilled in Maya, ZBrush, Blender, Substance Suite, Unreal, Unity, and digital/traditional painting but more than that, I know how to listen, laugh, and bring out the best in a team, especially in a room full of curious young minds.
