My experience and willingness to learn are two major assets I would bring to your workplace. My prior engagements with the Writing Center at Lake Forest College, BlingABC online teaching, and Prorsum: The Invisible Force Behind taught me the logistics of teaching grammar, essay construction, and literature analysis to students. I learned there that a good tutor is intuitive, pays attention to the student’s needs, and adapts to unexpected circumstances. I am a quick learner and know that every day I will face new opportunities to grow. While I have much to offer your establishment, I also know that working as a teacher with this company will teach me many valuable lessons.

I am a motivated self starter, with a passion for teaching and a thorough understanding of English language and cultures. Through my 200 hour TEFL course I refined my knowledge of English grammar and honed my teaching skills. Through tutoring maths and physics to GCSE and A-level students (both one-to-one and in classes), I learnt to engage and encourage unmotivated learners whilst exercising class control and organisation.
I am calm under pressure, confident, and gentle; qualities I believe I can utilise well in a learning environment.
At The University of Manchester I studied mathematics with financial mathematics. This included business modules, giving me a thorough grounding in business English, financial reporting and management techniques. I enrolled on an extended module that focused on maths education in which I learnt types of learning, levels of understanding, and completed an extended project which included analysis of a lesson.
For six years I have coached table tennis to a range of age groups. This has given me further experience in using a wide range of strategies to create a fun and productive learning environment. At university I was elected president of the table tennis society, here I showed leadership and worked effectively under tight budgetary restrictions.

I bring a strong combination of empathy, patience, and creativity to my teaching approach. My experience working with children and teens in both educational and creative settings has strengthened my ability to connect with learners and adapt to their needs. I approach every classroom with understanding and encouragement, creating a positive environment where students feel supported and confident. My creativity allows me to design engaging lessons that make learning enjoyable and memorable.

I have extensive international teaching experience across Vietnam, Spain, the Czech Republic, and the UK, working both online and in classrooms with learners of all ages and abilities. My background includes teaching young learners, teenagers, and adults, as well as exam preparation, Business English, and general ESL. I have also supported children as a Supply Teacher and Teaching Assistant in UK schools, which has given me valuable experience in inclusive education and working with a range of learning needs. Unlike most new educators, I've taught every level from first grade through high school, giving me genuine versatility. My years managing teams at Starbucks and Mooyah while completing my degree have shown an exceptional work ethic and have already taught me the classroom management skills most first-year teachers struggle with.
My strengths are communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills proven through managing difficult customers, coordinating between staff and management, and designing creative lesson plans that actually engage students. I'm organized, reliable, and someone who steps up to challenges rather than backing down from them. With my TEFL certification and social studies expertise, I can teach content classes while supporting English language learners.

After over 6+ years in the legal field, I am transitioning into teaching English as a foreign language to continue my efforts in aiding others but in a more personal, proactive way. I am looking for the privilege of empowering students to unlock their potential and embrace the joy of learning, I wish to collaborate closely with other educators to design and deliver engaging lesson plans, support students in a group or one-on-one setting and cultivate positive classroom dynamics. I am a friendly and enthusiastic individual with 7 years of experience in tutoring and child care. From the age of 15 to 18 years old, I worked for the tutoring company Kumon, assisting children aged between 3-13 with their English and Maths work sheets. During this time, I learnt how to engage students and analyse their strengths and weaknesses in order to adjust my teaching approach accordingly. Kumon gave me the opportunity to work with children who had special educational needs, developing my ability to teach a wide range of students with different requirements.

During my second year of University, I worked as a STEM Workshop Leader for Aveea Academy. I planned and delivered STEM workshops for groups of 20-30 children aged between 5 and 11, while supporting students with Special Educational Needs. Aveea Academy provided me Safeguarding, Diversity and Inclusion training and a Full Emergency Paediatric Certificate. Working at Aveea helped me to develop my skills in lesson planning, classroom engagement and managing large groups of children, while ensuring I could confidently communicate with parents and other members of staff. I enjoy being in a classroom environment and finding innovative ways to encourage students to learn and achieve their goals.

Additionally, I have experience working in two FE colleges, where I performed administrative tasks and co-ordinated industry placements for students. Working in Data admin enhanced my organisational skills, allowing me to plan lessons more efficiently.

I bring a well-rounded set of strengths, including diverse hands-on experience in team coordination, customer service, and care roles, demonstrating adaptability and leadership in fast-paced environments. My outgoing and positive personality fosters strong relationships, teamwork, and effective conflict resolution. Skilled in communication, behavioral management, safety protocols, and activity planning, I am organized, responsible, and capable of handling challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.

I have worked with children and adults of all ages in training and teaching classes. I have spent almost two years teaching art to children of all ages at my local children's museum. I also have over 5 years of training experience working with adults of all ages, teaching them how to read technical manuals and operate various equipment. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in History and American Sign Language. I also hold an Associate of Science degree and am a member of the National Honor Society. I am highly skilled in communication and team building. I also have several years of experience in team leading and management.

Experience: My previous roles as a graphic designer, retail assistant, front-of-house hospitality staff and volunteer work have equipped me with experience working with people of various backgrounds and cultures, as well as communicating within different contexts and purposes. I have worked in professional and hospitality settings, and contributed towards helping clients achieve their communication goals while supporting them throughout the process.

Personality: I am a deeply empathetic person who is constantly putting myself in others' shoes, interested in their perspectives, and how their backgrounds and cultures affect how they see the world; this significantly enables me to understand others well and communicate with them on many levels. I am also a great listener and have a big heart for people. Creativity is a large part of my personality; I value creative expression and look for new ways to solve problems. While I am very open to new experiences and welcome free-flowing expression, I am also equally diligent and organised, and will apply practical methods to achieve my goals. Being an adaptable person, I am resilient in work and life and take on challenges with a broad approach.

Skills: My experience and personality have strongly developed my ability to find new ways to communicate and problem solve, in order to assist clients, customers, or anyone, to achieve an outcome. I work diligently and pay great attention to detail, organising the various aspects of any job for a neat approach. Taking team members into account, I listen well and bring together many inputs in the process. I also evaluate scenarios thoroughly and take great care in understanding those I work with so that I can apply the best approach to any situation.
