ESL Teachers

Currently, I am midway through my studies for a 188 Hour TEFL Certificate, and am eager to find a reputable school and environment in Japan to start my teaching career. As you will see from my details, I am a highly motivated and determined individual. Throughout my working life, I have not only had experience managing teams of mixed ages and genders in the workplace, but also had to engage and ensure the safety of young adults as customers in my previous job roles. During my Military service I have also instructed Units of 4-28 people at any one time.

I have always been keen to travel and experience other cultures, which was one of my driving motivations for joining the Military. I believe the role that you have available offers an opportunity to combine my desire to travel and experience a culture I have developed a genuine interest in, whilst both learning about and contributing to in my own small way.

Having already had experience of living abroad, I feel that I will be an effectual assistant in the development of my young students as representatives of their country, and of the globalised world we now live in. I know that overall, the life experiences I have had till now give me the potential to aid a Japanese teacher and colleague as an English Language Teacher, helping them to educate Japan’s next generation. A vitally important role, inspiring curiosity and engagement with the wider world.

Ever since I was a young child I have always had a deep fascination with Asian culture and lifestyle, having briefly studied Asia and its history whilst at school. This has led to a lifetime of captivation; using its art history to influence final exam pieces at GCSE; studying its traditional architecture and building techniques at University level; to finally visiting Tokyo in June 2018 and wanting to see more of the world, including Korea.

I know that I am more than capable of overcoming even the most overwhelming life changes, and therefore relocating to new a country and embracing a new culture would be something I would eagerly take on. I have always enjoyed meeting new people, having both been a student and worked full-time in student services, it was an excellent opportunity to meet individuals from all around the world and all walks of life.

Since my visit to Japan in June 2018, and with the life experience that I have thus far, I know that I would be a strong asset to your Company and that I would embrace life within a Korean community wholeheartedly. I feel that in applying to the role you have shows that I am not only passionate about experiencing a new culture, but also about inspiring the next generation and preparing them for a new and ever-changing world.

Hello my name is Iana. I graduated college with a degree in TESOL. While getting this degree I've had the opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience. After I completed my degree I worked as a substitute teacher prior to coming to Korea. For the past year I have been working at a hagwon with students whose ages range from 8-12.

I have more than 4 years classroom experience, teaching in China. I have taught adult, university, Primary School, and After School ESL classes.

In the classroom, I pull on knowledge and skills attained in previous tutoring and training jobs, along with my education in English Literature. Over the years I have grown and been promoted to the position of trainer, where I help other teachers build on their teaching skills. My classes are fun, as I am, and very lively.

I have been able to engage my interests in travel and culture. Visiting a few other countries as well as some traditional cities in China. I am interests in the Arts, food and often try some crafts to expand my own learning.

I have spent the last year teaching in China as an ESL teacher. In my school we focused on enhancing skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking and phonics. I taught children aged 3-16 specialising in 3 yearold language production and teen written work. During my time in China I took on extra responsilbilities including running charity English lessons for students less forutnate, and also planning and organising extra curricular English lessons alsongside baking and craft lessons.

I have always loved children and teaching others, volunteering at my school to assist international students with their written work. During my time in China I seeked to learn more about the art of ESL teaching, taking on 4 exams from Cambridge University: Teacher Knowledge Tests Young Learners and Modules 1-3.

Every class I teach I learn more about how students communicate with one another as well as their teacher, and how as a teacher, I must be ready to adapt my lesson plan easily to fit the needs of the whole class, whilst being sure to give individual attention to every student.

I have grown in confidence over the last year in my teaching skills, and would love to continue learning and teaching.

I am a passionate TEFL Teacher with experience teaching English all over the world. I have a 120hr TEFL Premium Degree and a Bachelors with Majors in English Language. I am a dynamic and vibrant teacher who is passionate about what she loves and above all else really loves children!

I tutored children in English for three year while I was studying for my degree. I have taught and helped children drastically improve their grammar, academic writing and reading comprehension. I am hard working and self-motivated, and I seek to excel in my role. I also work well in teams as I enjoy sharing my resources, learning from others and receiving constructive criticism.

I have worked for 1 year in the UK and 2 years in Taiwan.

I have been based in London England since 2000 studying and working within Education and the Arts.
During this time, I have been lucky enough to tour and work internationally working in many countries and experiencing many different cultures from all ages and walks of life.
I am a friendly, professional and approachable person with experience working with various size groups – from large, to smaller classes and one-to-one tuition.
I pride myself with my work ethic, commitment, my personality and sense of humour. I enjoy working and learning with both Adults and Children.

I am very excited with the prospect of working in Seoul again and hope to teach English and make a difference to the people I meet and work with.

As a recent graduate from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, I am eager to apply as an English teacher in Seoul, South Korea.
As a student, I took several classes involving the English language and have a certificate in Professional Writing, as well as one from a 120 Hour Advanced TEFL program. In addition to this, I also have an OPI level score of Intermediate-Mid in Japanese after only one year of study. In the Summer of 2018, I spent seven weeks in Japan, taking language classes and feel that my experiences there will have an impact on my teaching style in South Korea. It should be noted that I am currently teaching myself Korean, as well.
Attributes that make me a well-suited candidate include, but are not limited to:
• Motivation: Although I already have two Associates degrees, I went back to school for the sole purpose of applying to be an English Teacher in Seoul, South Korea. In addition to this, I have been self-studying the Korean Language.
• Adaptability: With my previous experience living in East Asia last summer, I feel comfortable making a life in Korea. Currently, I work as a server and am able to adjust myself to various customer needs and am more than happy to be placed outside of my comfort zone.
• Timeliness: I am not known as a procrastinator. I prefer to work diligently with deadlines and do not care to show-up to meetings late. I take care to ready myself for any type of situation and prefer to do my share of the work, if not more, because I am aware of the responsibility that is placed within me and do not want to let my coworkers down.
At Antioch College, I was well known as the student who completed their work quickly, diligently, and needed little guidance. My self-motivation drives me to be successful and I hope to represent that part of myself well in my future endeavors.
I am aware that the available teaching positions in Seoul, South Korea are scarce, especially for the inexperienced, but I would very much appreciate the opportunity to demonstrate my skills and further explain my qualifications.
