ESL Teachers

I am a very vibrant and energetic person, I am open to learn new things. I have my degree in Television Production, script writing and camera. I like to use these tools to make learning fun and exciting for the kids, using my degree like teaching them popular English nursing rhymes or learning the alphabet and numbers through the use of song.

I have been in the British Army for 5 years and in that time I have promoted to the rank of Corporal and have been on many military exercises in different countries. As a result of this I am very adaptable and can work under pressure. I work mainly in administration and finance so I am organised and analytical. The job requires me to take on a leadership role as I command and manage others in the team.

In my free time I enjoy music, playing the drums and practicing contemporary dance. I love to learn languages such as Korean and I enjoy exercising and trying new outdoor activities.

I am a young and vibrant woman who has recently discovered a passion for teaching. I am currently completing my honours degree in English studies and obtained a bachelors degree with a triple major in psychology, sociology and English. I attended Stellenbosch University throughout the entirety of my varsity career. Throughout my honours degree I have been tutoring first year students in English studies. I have two classes of about twenty students in each class and I am responsible for lesson planning, admin issues and any and all marking. I have loved tutoring this year and would love the opportunity to further my skills in teaching English to students or young children. I am easy to work with and enjoy interacting with fellow associates and students alike and would associate myself as a likeable and kind woman.

My greatest strength I believe I have obtained in my life is perseverance.
Most recently this can be seen in my desire to pursue further academic achievement to obtain a Masters at the University of Birmingham. This required significant financial cost along with likely thousands of hours of person study and involvement to succeed. This I did to enrich myself in a field of study I found personally satisfying and to improve my career prospects once i have left University for good.

This perseverance has gone beyond just my academic life, further TEFL qualifications beyond the 120 hours that is considered the standard for EFL job positions and supplementing that with volunteering experience at my local Highschool as there is only so much that can be taught through an online course.

My time in air-cadets and the Muay Thai has shown me the personal reward physical activities can provide personally as well as shaping me in the team-orientated and excited individual that I am. Both qualities that I hope to impress upon my students .

My current application to the iTutorGroup for online teaching via webcam for winter-work will also provide me some real and consistent experience in teaching students a foreign language and show that i am able to consistently go the extra step to make myself a better teacher to students.

I am a very hard working, outgoing teacher. i aim to utilize my skills to the best of my ability allowing maximum learning to occur that benefits children's needs and development.

I have experience teaching children from the grade 00 till grade three. That being the ages of 3 to 8 years old.

I am graduating with a major in English and a sub-major in Early Childhood Development.

I have well classroom management , time management and stress management skills.
I am capable in planning well thought out lessons that cover the work needed to be done.

I have a wide range of ESL teaching experience despite my age. I have spent time teaching in Vietnam, China, Thailand as well as the UK. I am now currently teaching at an elementary school in Yanggu, South Korea. Thanks to this experience, I have managed to grow and improve my teaching abilities across many different age groups and English speaking abilities.
I am very hard working and pride myself on ensuring my students are actively learning, while also creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in my classroom so that all students are confident enough to use their English, whatever their ability may be.
I am always looking for ways to grow and improve my teaching so that my students education can grow and improve in turn.

During my undergrad, I got the opportunity to work directly with youth and applied the skills that I have learned. I completed 150 hours of community service at an Early Development Center. I also have experience working with student K-5. I am outgoing and full of energy which would lends itself well towards working with younger students. I am currently living in Korea and have a year experience working at a Academy. I've worked with Elementary through middle school students. I have experience making my own lesson plans and helping students prepare for middle school test. An average class size ranges from 1-8 students.

I am an energetic, sociable person with a passion for language teaching and learning. I am working on a 180 hour TEFL certificate and have recently completed an MA in Applied Linguistics from which I gained invaluable knowledge in SLA teaching methodologies and teaching practices. In the past, I have tutored students for German language exams, as German was my BA major.
