I have been a manager in the hospitality industry for over twenty years in which time I have shown an ability to train staff and managers to understand their job roles. I am also a great ambassador for the organisations I work for as I am personable and can talk to people at all levels of the organisation with confidence. I love working in customer service as you can understand what people want and deliver, as well as resolve issues a to a satisfactory outcome.

I am a calm and friendly individual and I believe this helps me understand people and help them in the best way I can. I am driven by seeing other people reach their potential and it gives me great pleasure to see others achieving things they couldn't previously do through learning and development.

I am very grateful to have the opportunity to spread my love for my native language to those who wish to learn it and better their futures through communication and international opportunities.

My Personality
I am hard-working, Enthusiastic about teaching with children and good problem solver. I am well organised and presentable. Always strive to achieve the highest stranded possible at any given task or job. I am accumulated at working in a fast-paced environment. I can communicate to all ages well as I have been mentoring and teaching others since 2013. I am passionate is Korean culture and language I am learning Korean at the moment. 

My experience:
At college, as part of my personal development, I worked closely with junior students. Junior students would approach senior students for guidance and help in practical and academic work.
Senior students were also required to teach practical lessons, evaluate junior students assessments and to act as mentor guiding them through the year.

Why I want ot teach in korea
I visited Korea for 7 weeks last year, and really enjoyed the culture and lifestyle that Korea has to offer. Learning more about the culture and language is one on my key interests.
Teaching provides students with the tools and knowledge to thrive in the adult world and find their passion as I did. Inspirational teachers can excite and influence children, helping them to improve their knowledge and grades. I have been fortunate in my own learning to have been guided by some outstanding teachers. My science teacher at school was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, which inspired his students and helped them all to achieve better grades. One of my lectures had extraordinary energy and high expectations of her students, providing guidance and support which reflected in the achievements in her students. These two teachers provided me with a role model and standards of what teaching should be.
English as a second language is vital in today’s interconnected world, opening up more opportunities for the next generation. Being able to teach English in Korea is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a child’s development and growth, in a vibrant and exciting culture.

I am an experienced professional educator. I have created custom course curriculum with lessons specifically catered for my students to achieve the best results possible. I can foster an engaging and purposeful classroom environment where students are comfortable to make mistakes and improve their abilities. I have experience using student centered teaching methods.

I have a first class degree in English from a London university and am passionate about literature. I have worked for publishing companies and as a bookseller. As a teacher I think reading for pleasure is really important for students and always encourage students to pick fun books.

In my gap year before university I worked at an international school in South Korea on Jeju Island. I worked as a boarding house assistant and a teaching assistant. The opportunity allowed me to travel, pick up some of the language and made me fall in love with South Korea and its food.

I am ready to start a new experience and put my TEFL to practise. I have supported in classes before but want to take the lead and work to inspire students to learn a new language.

I have three years of teaching experience in Japan, Italy, and Ireland. I am a friendly and energetic person who enjoys teaching all age groups. I have experience of teaching kids from as young as 2 years old, right up to group classes of adults. I enjoy sport a lot and so am skilled at working in a team environment if so needed in the workplace. I love to travel and experience new cultures. I lived in Japan and Italy and so am very capable of moving abroad and adapting to an unfamiliar situation. I am dedicated and hard working and feel I would be an asset to any company which I join.

Experience
Since the age of 12, I've been passionate about helping ESL learners grow more comfortable with the English language. I started tutoring other peers and young children at the age of 12 in English, and fell in love with teaching. In college, I studied elementary education for a semester, but quickly realized what I want to do is teach in my birth country, South Korea. I stopped studying elementary education after the semester finished because it was focused too heavily on teaching in the United States. Instead, I dedicated my time and energy into studying English as my minor. English has always been my favorite subject in school as well as the subject I had the most talent in. Throughout elementary school, middle school, high school, and college, I worked with international students, especially Korean students, to edit assignments and papers, and explain grammar concepts.

Personality
I have a very outgoing and optimistic personality. I throw myself completely into things that I am passionate, and love to dedicate time and attention to details. I'm someone who is happiest when surrounded by people, and I love to work quickly, but carefully. I've always been the one who finishes tasks the fastest, but not by sacrificing quality.

Skills
I am skilled in English reading, writing, and speaking. I have studied public speaking extensively, and my major in college was focused on English writing. I am experienced in business and marketing, but realized that teaching is what I want to do.
