I am a purpose driven, motivated and patient young lady. I have 3 years tutoring experience as I tutored at the Durban University of Technology, while obtaining my degree. I am kind, patient, skilled and good at communicating.

I'm a rather adaptable person and being in new environments for work has always made new experiences exciting and enjoyable for me. Languages come to me naturally and throughout my years in school I learned to speak German outside of the classroom and in both primary schooling lessons and German lessons in college. I greatly aspire to experience the world and work overseas with people of different cultures to garner an experience greater than what I could imagine while making a difference. Interpersonal communication and team work skills have always come naturally to me as I have grown to become a well organized and natural leader in work environments and projects.

I am currently in my final year at the University of Exeter studying for an English BA. Through pursuing my degree, I have improved in my ability to communicate effectively and creatively in the English language. In writing essays and delivering presentations I have gained a greater understanding of the power of precise language. I have enjoyed the in-depth research processes of higher-level studies and feel confident expressing complex ideas and concepts in comprehensible language. I feel equipped with the necessary skills to embark upon a fulfilling teaching career.
Whilst studying for my degree, I have also completed a 120-hour TEFL qualification. I have learnt a range of skills, the foremost being the nuance and intricacies of the English language, which often go overlooked by native speakers. I found learning ‘how’ to teach fascinating and am looking forward to applying this in an educational setting. When my degree is completed, I am looking to develop these skills through employment at language schools in the UK for the summer period.
I would welcome the opportunity to teaching abroad. I am passionate about learning and embracing South Korean culture and practices.

Do you have any job in Goheung or Suncheon?

I've spent alot of time in high powered and very formal jobs, i.e. as an accounts assistant and as a software developer. I have also worked more informal jobs and spent time living in other cultures. For this reason I find it easy to speak to people with varying levels of formality and varying levels of seniority.

I've spent roughly 3 years teaching English informally and as a result am quite used to teaching English, and have spent a year or 2 teaching Spanish informally. I am used to teaching people new concepts at this point and am very patient with students.

I am a pre-law student at Vanderbilt University studying clarinet performance, history, and psychology. I hold many leadership positions on campus including managing editor of Vanderbilt's Historical Review, an undergraduate research journal. As such, my undergraduate studies have honed my English reading and writing skills. I intend on teaching English abroad to serve communities while increasing my cultural competence in my gap years before law school.

I am a co-founder of a nonprofit that teaches children K-12 in all subjects via Zoom, so I have experience working with younger children. I also have taught children music at summer camps.

I am a friendly person that is understanding to everyone's situations. I enjoy fostering collaboration and am flexible to teaching methods.

Whilst in university, I spent three years studying and broadening my knowledge within the field of English Literature and Language and Communication Studies, which I believe might be beneficial in making me an eligible candidate for this role. After graduating and receiving my Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.), I was appointed as a Client Services Manager within a Marketing and Video Production Agency. I spent three years within this role. As of September 2022, I endeavored as a Commercial Model in Cape Town, South Africa signed under “Base Model Agency”. Currently, I am sharing my passion for English and Education by working as an independent English tutor whenever my services are requested/required. I have a lot of informal experience teaching and tutoring both young adults and children in a variety of subjects, including English. I have a strong academic background and have completed 220 hours of TEFL certified training. I am a very outgoing, sociable and empathetic person, and take pride in my organizational skills, attention to detail, and my ability to adapt to new situations.

I am someone who started out his career in English language teaching but then migrated into the financial industry out of necessity. The time is now, however, that I continue my transition out of banking and back into teaching. I say “continue” because I have been teaching high-schoolers for the past 7 years in preparation for my next move. The specialty for which I am currently being trained (Teaching English to Korean Speakers) plus my life experiences and passion for teaching fit very well with the needs of the position, and I would be thrilled at the opportunity to join your team.

Prior to my financial career I spent a few years teaching non-English speaking adults at a local college in the US, after which I established my own English school in the Dominican Republic for those seeking to work in tourism and for executives of local businesses. My work and education have taken me to several other countries as well—indicated on my CV—providing me with a solid knowledge base of moving abroad and all the particulars involved.

I love education, and with me you would get someone with excellent organizational skills who easily connects with students. I am also the type of person who understands the philosophy of “team” by participating in committees and school improvement projects to help build a better environment for students and staff alike.
