A-Level/IELTS Teachers

I currently run the cardiopulmonary critical care laboratory at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY where I grew up. In this position, I design injury models and treatments primarily for cardiopulmonary disease and sepsis. I also handle all of the training of procedures and protocols for new lab members. I facilitate an Advanced Trauma Operative Management(ATOM) course for 4th and 5th year surgical residents. I work well under pressure and pride myself in managing my time efficiently. My drive and outgoing personality has allowed me to be successful in professional and personal settings. I also recently finished a 6-year service in the New York Air National Guard as an Aerospace Medical Technician where I served as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge(NCOIC) of laboratory operations. In this position, I developed and implemented all training and procedures in the laboratory to ensure patient health and safety. As a Basic Life Support(BLS) Instructor I held classes for the wing to enhance base readiness. In both of these roles I was able to successfully combine my love and passion for both science/medicine and teaching.

I have worked with large and small teams and developed keen communication skills that I am certain would be of use with a diverse teaching staff.
I believe I am an exceptional candidate for this position with my own success and knowledge on the subject paired with a passion for Computer Science, developing students' understanding and fostering a positive learning environment. Having worked within the tech industry I have skills that would benefit students pursuing a career within industry after their studies. Having also applied and attended a UK University, I can help students with prospective applications and personal statements. Whilst attending The British School of Brussels, I received the Computing Award as well as working with the department as subject captain. In my duties as subject captain I helped develop lesson plans, and aided in the teaching of object oriented programming preparing students for their GCSE examinations.
During my time with Rockstar Games, I worked as a Content Designer. This role required a deep understanding of the technical aspects of development whilst being able to communicate with those outside of the technical sphere. I believe this ability would be very important when communicating complex aspects of the computer science syllabus to students that may not have encountered such ideas before.
