I would describe myself as highly adaptable, creative, proactive, and dependable. I have over a year in teaching experience with kids ranging from Kindergarten to 6th grade, which has enabled me to use my creative side to engage with various types of children. I also have my TEFL certification. I have currently been working in an administrative role but I am currently seeking something different.

I am currently completing a TEFL Level 5 diploma and hold a BA Honours degree in Film and English Literature. With my extensive experience as a Learning Support Assistant at Work Skills Learning, I have developed the ability to create effective, student-centered lesson plans while providing tailored support, particularly for students with learning disabilities.

In my current role, I prepare educational resources, plan personalised tasks, and coordinate syllabi to
enhance learning outcomes. I also provide pastoral care and mentor students, assisting with behaviour
management and supporting their development of social and academic skills. For example, I have
successfully helped students with aggressive tendences regulate their emotions through mentoring and
providing a safe space for reflection, enabling them to reintegrate into the classroom environment.

I already have the experience of moving abroad and being in a new environment completely, moving to Germany in the year 2023 has been one of the best experiences and also has pushed me to become more eager to learn about the world. I've worked with kids throughout my life in many different setting, but none in a physical classroom. As an au pair, one of the main reasons I was hired was to teach their two kids (4/5 years old and 6 month old) English, we mostly play games and learn greetings with the older child, while the younger one has not spoken yet has learned direction and simple gesture words just from speaking to him. I would like to continue the experience of working with kids since its brought lots of growth and opportunities, while also being able to teach English and help further personal growth in professional, academic, and etc. for further opportunities in young learners lives.
I’ve also worked with kids in multiple settings in my young adult years, summer camps, training in a gym, and recently as an au pair (live in nanny). I’ve come to realize being around young learners brings me joy even with all the ups and downs. You can see young learners grow, learn, and experience life through them, and one of the lessons or maybe not even a lesson but a life understanding is that young learners can help and teach you new things everyday. They have different experiences and see the world differently than we adults do, and everyday learn something new. While I am older and have more knowledge in some areas of life, children do as well, whether that be for example in korean language or a new game or meaning of something simple, you can always learn even from children.
