I have a bachelor's degree in social work. I have always had a passion for working with children. I have volunteered in many capacities of working with children from diverse backgrounds. I was a case manager for a Foster/Adoption agency, I have volunteered and completed internships with child protective services in Texas, I have been a camp counselor for a non profit organization that provides summer camps for children in foster care, I worked for a year as a relief teacher for Troy ISD which is a school district in Central Texas, and I currently volunteer in my church as a youth group leader teaching sunday school classes to middle school aged youth.

I have a TEFL Level 5 certification, a Master’s degree, and over seven years of experience working with refugees and migrants, so I can bring both academic expertise and cultural sensitivity to the classroom. My passion lies in creating inclusive, engaging learning environments where students feel empowered to grow in confidence and communication.

Experience: I’ve taught senior-level English and Canadian/International Politics, with over 100 days of in-class experience from grades 7, 10 and 12. I have informal teaching experience gained while serving a mission in Brazil, where I provided English instruction to individuals from diverse backgrounds. Professionally, I have worked as a substitute paraeducator in a kindergarten classroom supporting children with disabilities. My international experience includes living in inland São Paulo for 18 months and studying abroad in Paris, which has enhanced my ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments and communicate with empathy and clarity.

I am a dedicated and adaptable educator who prioritizes creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. I have approximately 500 hours private tutoring experience with only 5 star reviews. I have been tutoring since 2021 and I strive to create tailored and professional lessons suited to the needs of my students. I specialise in English GCSE and Politics A level.

I have been an events manager for various companies over the last two years allowing me to develop my time management and interpersonal skills to organise events and ensure smooth communication between myself and those who have worked under my leadership.

I have experience with working with people of all ages, that includes children, teens, adults, and seniors. I really enjoy helping others and am passionate about helping others reach their goals. I'm a flexible person who is able to pivot when necessary. I also can be firm, especially when it comes to educating students. I've always been a lover of education and am always encouraging others to take it seriously. I'm a native English speaker and have intermediate-level fluency in Spanish.
