I have been speaking English since I was 4 years old, thus I have a strong command of the language, both in spoken and written form. With a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, ongoing Master’s studies, and a TEFL certification, I am making a passionate transition into English language teaching. My nursing background has provided me with extensive experience working with both children and adults, often in diverse and high-pressure environments. These experiences have sharpened my communication, empathy, and adaptability—qualities that directly support effective classroom teaching and student engagement.
In addition to general English, I bring a unique strength in Medical English. My clinical experience enables me to support students and professionals seeking to develop English skills for healthcare settings, offering practical and relevant language training in this niche area. Currently undertaking my Master’s degree, I continue to refine my academic and leadership skills, which I integrate into my evolving teaching practice. My TEFL training has equipped me with a solid foundation in learner-centred methodologies, classroom management, and lesson planning tailored to various proficiency levels.

I have been working in education for over twenty years as a coach, official,and classroom teacher. I am certified in the state of Massachusetts which is nationally recognized and I am also 140 hour TEFL certified.

In terms of personality I am quite tenacious, patient, strong, and analytical. When asked to do something I do it with an all or nothing attitude and with students I can be almost parent like. As for skills I am multilingual, I know martial arts, and I know a degree of coding and art skills.

I have hands-on experience teaching young children as a tutor and mentor, where I developed lesson plans and utilized engaging teaching methods tailored to diverse learning needs. Additionally, my volunteer work as a Teacher's Assistant allowed me to collaborate with teachers and support early childhood education, further enhancing my ability to connect with students. I am an eager and fun-loving educator who thrives in fast-paced environments. I genuinely enjoy working with children and creating a supportive and interactive learning atmosphere. I believe that fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment is essential for effective learning. My skills include strong lesson planning, the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs, and proficiency in using interactive educational tools to enhance learning. My study abroad experience at Yonsei University has also broadened my cultural awareness and appreciation for diverse backgrounds, which is crucial in creating an inclusive learning environment.

I bring a well-rounded blend of technical expertise and international teaching experience, with a strong focus on English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction. I have taught English to students aged 3–18 in China and Thailand, designing engaging, level-appropriate lessons that build phonics, grammar, pronunciation, and conversational skills. My lessons are interactive and tailored to diverse learning styles, often incorporating digital tools and multimedia to enhance student engagement and comprehension.

Professionally, I also have over 5 years of experience in IT support and education technology, most recently working at an international school in Thailand where I taught Computer Science while managing IT systems. This dual background gives me a unique advantage in integrating technology into the classroom and supporting modern, digital-first learning environments.

In terms of personality, I’m adaptable, approachable, and culturally sensitive—qualities that have allowed me to connect effectively with students from different backgrounds and help them thrive in English-speaking environments. I'm passionate about fostering confidence in language learners and creating a supportive classroom atmosphere.

My key skills include ESL instruction, digital literacy, classroom technology integration, curriculum development, and clear, empathetic communication. I am eager to bring these strengths to a teaching position in South Korea and contribute positively to your school’s learning environment.

After being made redundant from my job at World Digital Foundation in October 2023, I moved to East Sussex with my father and extended family. During this period, I worked on a number of building/labouring projects with family friends while searching for a new job in digital marketing (previously held job, and field of study at university) as I believed that this would be the best way to further my 'career'. However, after a number of months spent applying for jobs, I was beginning to become disillusioned with the 'world' of digital marketing/online networking etc…
Skipping forward into March/April of 2024, while weighing options for other types of employment outside of the digital marketing landscape, the amount of manual labouring work began to pick up dramatically in the spring/summer of 2024. This was a result of living in East Sussex whilst job searching (a countryside region of the UK) and had a number of friends and family who worked in roofing, fencing, landscaping, scaffolding and general building projects.
During this period, I was doing a lot of writing which had been a passion that I developed during and post university. This in combination with a conversation I had with a friend about their travels abroad led me to looking into teaching English as a foreign language. I have always wanted to travel but lacked the means to go backpacking or on holiday and thought that I could do something more meaningful with my time by completing a TEFL course and teaching abroad. This was in October 2024, when I signed up for the Highfield level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language 180hr (TEFL) qualification.
To bring us into the present, I finished studying and passed my TEFL certification on the 4th April 2025 and have been looking for employment abroad for the past couple of months.

I have hands-on experience working with young children as a nursery practitioner and forest school educator. My background includes supporting early years learning through play, language development, and child-led exploration. I also hold a postgraduate early years qualification and I have completed my TEFL certification. I am warm, enthusiastic, and highly adaptable. I bring a nurturing presence to the classroom and naturally build positive relationships with children and colleagues. I approach teaching with curiosity, creativity, and a calm, grounded energy. Finally, I’m highly organised, with strong communication and classroom management skills.
