I have many years of experience working with children and customer service, I've learn over the years that my greatest strength is patience and a want to help others. There has been many times that a problem has been resolved because of listening and being understanding opposed to a headstrong approach. My personality has always been calm, energetic, and approachable. Many people always feel comfortable coming to me with their problems, and is probably why children like me. I also have very strong communication skills.

I have around four years of experience as an ESL teacher in Korea and Japan. I've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students, from beginners to near-fluent speakers and kindergartners to high school students.

I am a very inquisitive individual, always seeking to learn new things and improve every facet I can. Having a desire for travelling and having graduated with a degree in English Language and Literature, I decided to facilitate my interests and skills through teaching English as a second language.

After I graduated I took the leap to move to Hanoi, Vietnam, to teach English at public schools. During my time teaching for Binh Minh Education Development Center (Jan 2019 – Mar 2020), I taught over 1000 students and 30 classes per week, demonstrating cross-cultural communication skills, as well as structure and enthusiasm within the classroom. I also exhibited cultural sensitivity inside and outside the classroom, immersing myself and embracing a foreign culture and adjusting to its unique social etiquette. Since the pandemic, I have transferred my skills onto online platforms, where I continue to teach children and adults English every day.

Moving to Vietnam allowed me to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone, which facilitated invaluable personal growth. I consistently try to challenge myself physically and mentally to develop my skills and expose myself to new experiences. I am curious to seek new environments and enhance my skills, whether this is in a new work environment or a foreign culture.

I am a very friendly and professional person. I work well in teams and as an individual. I currently work in Beijing China where for the last year and a half I have been teaching in a well recognised training centre teaching English to children aged 3-13. I have a passion for teaching and believe that every child has the potential to reach their goals and the goals set for them.
