I have a good command in the classroom to get students to listen to me, I’m good at being punctual and keeping to a set time schedule. As I’ve had to teach a lesson and then after that conduct a reading, listening or writing test afterwards within a certain time frame. I have a very friendly personality that’s welcoming to people. That makes them feel comfortable with me very quickly.

I am a native British English speaker, who has recently graduated from Newcastle University. I studied Music BA (Hons) and achieved a 2:1. In having previous ESL teaching experience, putting children’s education first is in my best interest and watching their English develop is extremely rewarding. I am confident in teaching children of all ages, and I understand the expectations needed of an English teacher. Teaching English in South Korea has always been my dream – it would therefore be an honour to be a part of your company.
In preparation to teach English in Korea, I have a valid DBS check and university certificate, both with apostille stamp (visa requirements). I am also currently working towards a 168-hour TEFL Award.
I am therefore available on an ‘ASAP’ notice, providing that my visa and housing is supported.

I am a native-English speaker born and raised in the United Kingdom and I have experience teaching adults and children in English and science both online and in-person. I hold a degree in Chemistry and Forensic Science from the University of Leicester as well as a 120-hour TEFL certificate. I am also a qualified solicitor (lawyer) in England & Wales.

Working as a private tutor has given me a fantastic opportunity to teach students of primary school age across South-East Asia. Teaching this age group has been the most rewarding teaching experience I have had to date and I believe this enthusiasm shows when I am teaching. When teaching on a one-to-one basis it is essential to deliver lessons that allow the student to discover the topic themselves and to question the material that they are learning. I believe that this focus on eliciting answers from students and prioritising independent thought will translate well to teaching larger classes of students of this age. Furthermore, having to create bespoke lessons has broadened my knowledge of the vast array of teaching materials that can be utilised to keep the attention of young students who often have very limited attention spans.

Whenever I begin teaching new students, my primary focus is on creating an environment in which the students feel comfortable using the target language without feeling self-conscious or embarrassed. In order to achieve this I like to use games, quizzes and songs so that the students spend as much time as possible interacting with me and each other. This also helps to build a rapport with the students, which I have found is absolutely key to increasing their fluency and confidence.

I have experience teaching English to learners of various age groups and backgrounds. I studied teaching, with one of my majors being English. Through my student practicals, I have taught lessons in English, Geography and History. This helped me develop skills to create lessons and implement them effectively. I also have tutoring experience. This year I have been AuPairing for 2 boys, aged 7 and 8 in Germany. My main purpose was to teach them English as they only understood German. I was able to do this through various educational games and I developed various creative ideas to guide them. Coming from South Africa, I have experience working with learners from different cultures and backgrounds.

I am a happy and energetic person, and use this effectively in my lessons. I am hard working and a team player. I work well under pressure. I am also creative and wanting to learn. I am motivated to succeed. I have a huge interest in Korean culture. I enjoy teaching learners with different cultures. I always strive to create inclustivity in the classroom and meet the needs of all learners. I always cater for learners with different learning styles.

As a hardworking and enthusiastic individual, I am willing to work hard to achieve the experience necessary to lead me to my end career goal. I feel I possess excellent communication skills and have a natural ability to interpret and communicate information effectively. I am conscientious and organised; I love to help people and I derive satisfaction from playing a part in my students' and my school's successes.
Currently I’m working with NOVA as a third-party contractor. The role involves teaching adults and children of all abilities in one-to-one or group sessions. The lessons are broken down into man-to-man and group lessons (max 8). Every month teachers receive a score from a customer satisfaction survey, my most recent score was 9.2/10 average from 14 students. Commets etc from students can be shared upon request. I have a Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance also I have completed the 120hr and 168hr TEFL Certificates.

Experience: During my time at my local youth club, I ensured that younger users such as children are safeguarded and well looked after. I would set up different activities for the young users.

Personality: I'm very energetic and have a positive outlook on life. This strength ensures that I have an upbeat personality and an enthusiastic approach for anything.

Skills: One of my strongest skills is communication. I am able to effectively communicate with everyone and ensure that I build positive rapport wherever I am.

I have 16+ years of experience in education, working in: primary, secondary, college, and in the community. I have both Governorship and Directorship experience and excellent leadership and management skills. I enjoy working with all age groups and abilities, having worked in SEND and alternative provision as well as main stream education. I love art, music, poetry and drama which I use in activities within my lessons – I would love to experience Japanese culture, learn about traditions and Japanese history and I use a communicative, learner centred approach and through every day conversations my learners gain a good understanding of the use of English language in everyday life. I am friendly, professional and very approachable, I build excellent rapport with all my learners, their parents/carers and I have excellent team skills.
