I am a recent graduate with a First Class Honour in Interactive Media. I have obtained a Diploma in professional practice with the Police Service in Northern Ireland as a Digital Designer. From my placement, I discovered that I am a great team player, have great organisational skills and creativity. I am now seeking a change in career path as I have always been interested in teaching. I have a TEFL certificate and I am seeking for a teaching position in South Korea.

Skills:

Communication- I believe that I am a patient person and have great leadership skills from being Course Representative. Course Representative involved me actively speaking to students and listening to their needs. Trying to accord to their needs and negotiate with lectures.

Listening- Listening to students needs and expressing their feelings that are affecting their studies.

Student engagement- Supported students through a study buddy scheme, this involved helping them with their studies. e.g. library, course work deadline and improving university experience.

I have experience teaching both in the UK and Korea (currently first year in Korea), as well as a TEFL certification. I am a kind and energetic teacher who strives to alter my teaching styles for each class in a fun and creative manner to enhance children's learning and maximise their potential as young learners. I am looking for a workplace where I can also learn and better myself as a teacher.

My name is Kaylee Stevens. I have been a part of the education system for the past 4 years. I have a degree in Education and a 180Hr Tefl certificate.

I am hardworking, passion about the job. I work well under pressure and am always willing to experience new things. I pride myself in taking initiative in the workplace. I have experiencing teaching all ages and recently worked for a special needs schools were I assisted the educators in the High school.

My experience consists of teaching children (3-16 yrs) basic music theory, English speaking, and writing skills. I worked with families with children (0-6 yrs) in building healthy parenting skills through creating programs and activities that support their children's physical/emotional/cognitive development.
I am known to be an engaging, resourceful educator, and I am open to criticism and learning from my peers. I am hardworking and always ask questions to improve my performance and quality of education.
I have a music background, which consists of piano and violin which I use in my current position to teach families and their children through songs. I can create social media content using Canva and Instagram. I also have experience in using Windows OneDrive for documentation. I am able to use Zoom for online learning programs too.

– Teaching small classes and tutoring middle and high school students, with a focus on SAT reading and writing skills (about 4 years)

– Worked with pre-kindergarten children as a full-time teacher's aide at a non-profit early childhood center for homeless families (3 months)

– Editing/proofreading English text on various topics, including Korean students' college essays, professional TV scripts, books, etc. (15+ years)

– Interned at a Korean workplace (국가인권위원회), thus familiar with Korean work culture (9 months)

PERSONALITY

– I am caring, calm, positive, friendly, and approachable. My shy Korean students (ages 5, 10, 16, etc.) especially felt comfortable around me.
– I respect each student as I would an adult. I believe in encouraging their self-confidence and creativity as much as their English language ability.
