I am an enthusiastic, confident, and hard-working recent college graduate with a passion for teaching. I have experience as a tutor for young children in an elementary school setting, and I have also served as a peer tutor in a one-on-one setting while in high school and college. My tutoring with young students was on a volunteer basis for children at an under-served local elementary school. I assisted them with homework once per week, and after homework we played sports like basketball and soccer, so I was as much of a mentor as I was a tutor. In high school, I was a peer tutor for a younger student, and I took great pride in helping her improve her algebra grade from a 60% early in the semester to a 75% by the end. Finally, in college, I volunteered in the Writing Center, helping students in a one-on-one setting to write class essays with a strong thesis, well-organized paragraphs, and appropriate supporting evidence. Through my employment in customer service positions, I have developed strong communication skills and an ability to work well in a team environment. As a teacher and communicator, I am patient, clear in my instructions, and highly adaptable.

I am a diligent person with integrity and I am ready to use my skills to create a learner-free environment. I believe that my teaching style should accommodate every student in order to have a positive outcome. Where those with high understanding levels are treated differently from those with low understanding levels. Every learner should be accommodated during the learning period, where those who understand much orally are given Oral work and those who understand through pictures or images are taught with pictures and images. I believe that my communication skill remains important in that I share information with learners in a manner that they understand and make sure that there is no conflict in class. My leadership skills can also assist the learning environment where making rules with learners results to great class management
