I am, and always have been a strong proponent of education at any age, and teaching English and History abroad has been my goal for many years. Although, I have not taught officially, I have four grown up children, who have become very successful in their fields of work. I have also taken the opportunity to volunteer as a classroom assistant as they were growing up. As a family we moved a lot due to my ex-husbands deployments, so ensuring their understanding of the English and other subjects was essential. I currently volunteer at my local library where I often sit and help young children of all ages and nationalities read and borrow books. I am aware of the requirements within an education setting, as I was Personal Assistant, to the Director of Education, Church of England, Manchester Diocese, I have experience of working with the 112 schools within the Diocese.

I believe that combining nature and science to educate children, is also an essential element, which has a strong and a positive impact on children's education. Subsequently, I would encourage the school to incorporate these into any curriculum, which would include growing fruit, vegetables and flowers, as I want encourage children to understand how their food is grown, as well as to see the satisfaction they have at growing something themselves. I am always keen to encourage young children to watch and engage with nature.

I am described as enthusiastic and resourceful, generous, thoughtful, empathetic and sincere. I consider myself to be considerate, reliable and very trustworthy, passionate in what I believe, ambitious, very energetic and creative. I am always cheerful and happy with an optimistic outlook. I exude confidence and encourage others to find theirs, however, I am also adventurous as there are still many things I want to achieve, teaching being one of them.

I do a number of activities to ensure I stay fit and healthy. These include swimming, walking, dance and Yoga. I also have a number of hobbies which include cooking, gardening, sewing, reading and listening to most genres of music. I enjoy travel, and have visited numerous countries. Despite my educational background, of political history, I am aware that English is the ‘Lingua Franca’ of the world and considering this, I would be honoured to teach young children the English language.

I realise that my age may be seen as a problem. However, I see myself as having the attributes of ‘life experience’ as well as the educational understanding to bring to the role, compared to younger applicants. I would ensure that my total care and devotion would be given in my teaching of the future generations.

I achieved a first-class degree in photography from Leeds arts university. I take pride in my ability to complete a university course with a first alongside a part time job and within a pandemic. I believe my proactive and flexible approach allowed me to succeed even with these boundaries. During my tefl course I successfully planned and presented creative and engaging lessons. I found this very fulfilling. What draws me to teaching is getting the chance to help children achieve.
I volunteer at Tolson Museum as a curator. In this role I work as part of a team to organise and present a large collection of written and visual material for the community to enjoy and learn from.

I am excited to be applying for the position of English teacher. I enjoyed traveling to Seoul greatly I would love the chance to live there and immerse myself in the culture.

I am a diligent and reliable worker. I have led teams and managed my staff on my own, ensuring that all duties are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, I am a team player but also a fun and caring instructor. I’ve worked with children from all ages and enjoy helping them learn new things, whether that is art, technology, or simply how to tie their shoelaces. I am enthusiastic and passionate about teaching. Throughout my experiences I have learned to strengthen my many skills such as team building, child development, classroom management, lesson planning, and adaptability.

I was a volunteer teacher in rural Zimbabwe in 1999 for a year just after a finished my university degree via student partnerships worldwide.
I was responsible for teacher social studies, history and geography to rural children who limited or no English.

I know patience and making lessons fun is key with any audience from youngest to adults.
Making people relaxed to be themselves means they are more engaged and naturally more attentive.

I am Lungile Manana, 22 years of age. I am a very reliable person, flexible, kind, punctual and positive. My love for learning has made me work in different fields, and I've done very well. I have worked as a teaching assistant in 2019 and I loved every moment of it, I felt pure in the presence of children, working with fellow teachers and having to plan team building activities was the best for me. I then got a job for being a promoter with which I learnt report writing and working in pressured environment, being open minded and understanding people's needs and having to assist meet them. I believe one of my greatest strengths is patience, being patient with people until they get satisfied or meet their desired goal. I believe I will be the right candidate as I have a background of how a classroom should be, and mostly how to be with children in school.

I am a team player who is very adaptable and can be productive in different situations – planned for or otherwise. I have 3+ years experience teaching children and young adults aged 3 – 25 years old. As a result, I've gained the skills to connect with students of different ages and find ways to engage them and make a lesson productive and fun at the same time. Furthermore, I have experience teaching both online and offline, and in different sized classes. Thus, I know that I am able to adapt materials and lessons to be able to conduct the same material in different ways depending on what is available and what is provided to me.
