I am a hard working, dedicated and patient teacher. I always produce excellent students in my classroom. I have worked at 2 elementary schools and 1 kindergarten before. Throughout my 2 years of experience I have learnt a lot about children and education in particular. I am a free spirited person and I enjoy singing and dancing. My strongest points include lesson plans and delivering them.

Teaching is my passion! I have over 6 years of experience teaching a variety of levels in the United States, from middle school to special education to elementary school. My degree is in English and secondary education, but I have recently found that my greatest passion is teaching kindergarten. I bring a high level of energy, compassion, expertise, and skill to the classroom. My goal is to create an engaging, safe, positive, and supportive environment in which students can learn and grow. I form strong relationships with each of my students, building a positive classroom community and encouraging students to take risks and challenge themselves. Throughout my teaching experience, I have gained a wide range of instructional methodologies and classroom management strategies, including differentiating to a variety of learning styles, supporting struggling students through additional intervention, and challenging advanced students with additional materials. I have a positive attitude and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. I believe I will make a strong addition to any teaching team!

I have many applicable strengths for this position. Firstly, I am currently teaching English as a Second Language online. This has provided excellent practical experience for teaching English in a physical classroom. It has given me the opportunity to understand my students who differ in age a lot better and has given me the ability to understand how much work is required to teach English successfully.

Secondly and personally, I am someone who generally loves people, socializing and I have a deep passion for learning about and experiencing new cultures. I am not one to shy away from a stage and I enjoy taking the lead. I am also someone who adapts easily to new environments and different people.

Thirdly, I have excellent interpersonal skills as the bulk of my work experience has required me to be personable and to meet my clients/customers where they are. For example, I have worked as an Aspiring Financial Advisor and I have worked and volunteered as an HIV Counsellor. Both these roles require someone who is sensitive to people and who will ensure that everyone is taken care of.

Lastly, My degrees have provided me with the necessary academic foundation for a role such as this as I have majored in International Relations and Studies. I have been privileged enough to be able to have studied different cultures and people extensively.

I am a hard working dedicated individual who also adapt easily in a team,my work is aligned with good teaching methods, allowing children to use their imagination in understanding the content.I am a very understanding person,who love people and to explore.I have good communication skills, computer skills, leadership skills as well as orientated skills.

I am a team player and a quality focused individual with excellent customer service and organisational skills. I aspire to learn and proficient in Microsoft packages such as excel, word and powerpoint.
I have administration experience working as an Admin and Clerical staff worker within the NHS in the UK.

My recent work experience as a Medical Secretary within the NHS has also allowed me guide and assist fellow colleagues in the usage of the recent Electronic Patient Record System known as HIVE.

I also have experience working as a youth leader for children and young adults, which gave me the skill of working well with young people. Carrying on, as a youth leader for children, I have experience presenting and speaking to a various amount of people. This has also developed my ability to be flexible during presentations and speeches.

I am compassionate and empathetic which will allow me to understand how my students are feeling learning a new language.
I am energetic and driven which allows me to stay focused on my goals.

For several years, I have focused my career path on many academic pursuits. I have graduated from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (Howard College), whereby I had obtained a cum laude and received various awards based on my merit. Thereafter, I completed my level 5 Teaching English as a Foreign Language course.
As a trained mental health professional, I was also able assist with mental health concerns, behavioral concerns, positive behavioral support, academic, and classroom support, consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators as well as provide individual and group counseling/therapy. My role was instrumental in furthering the mission of the schools in my district which was to provide a setting for teaching, learning, and for the attainment of competence and confidence.
With a genuine and nurturing nature, combined with a professional and ambitious approach, I possess the primary skills needed in my field of teaching, including creativity, time management and attention to detail. Additionally, innovation and problem-solving are part of my skill set, with proficiency in planning. Experience in interacting with diverse populations has given me in-depth understanding and awareness of differences in both individuals and organizations. These qualities will contribute to teaching. Lastly, my personal philosophy is rooted in empowering others and creating a positive perspective of life circumstances.

●I am a skilled and enthusiastic English Language Teacher/tutor with 2 years of experience developing lesson plans and curriculum for students young and in their adolescence stage, online and in physical classrooms.

●I'm equipped with the Communicative Teaching Method. I apply this method in the classroom through interactive, student-centered activities that maximize “student talk time”.

● My strongest skills are that I am an empath who is skilled in verbal and nonverbal communication, especially when meeting people for the first time. I generally have calm and engaging energy, which makes me easy to talk to (with kids especially), and I easily adapt to new environments due to my curious and open minded approach to different cultures.

●Lastly, I have huge passion for working with children as I spend most of my time engaging with children from different backgrounds volunteering in doing self improvement activities with the children at the local community centre.
