I am an affable and eager person who is ready to learn and grow as much as possible. I have experience living in a foreign country and having to navigate a new language. I've taught and tutored young children to adults. I am very much looking forward to continuing my teaching career after the pandemic forced it into stasis.

I have my masters in physics and have achieved qualified teacher status (QTS) in mathematics.

I have taught maths in Korea from 2022 to 2023 and currently reside in China where I am teaching high school level maths. I have taught both British and American curriculums so I am flexible with the curriculums.

I have possessed a life-long admiration for reading and writing, and this interest helped me obtain skills in editing and proofreading. I have had minor TA jobs since high school and up into my four-year library job at Ohio University, which has given me plenty of experience being among classroom environments and around students. I went to college to obtain my English Bachelor’s Degree, which has given me a strong background into how the English language works grammatically and conversationally. I am a very organized person with clear communication skills with a passion for pleasing patrons or students. I
want my students to feel safe in my classroom, have an enjoyable time and experience learning
English. I enjoy helping people learn English no matter their age, as I have a fascination for other
languages and also the utmost respect and love for the cultures others may come from. I can edit
documents, lead groups, and take on projects that require the ability to multitask. Along with that, I
have a self-published novel out which has taught me much about publishing, formatting, and editing.
I’m very familiar with South Korean customs as well, as I’ve gone to Seoul and Busan before and
have had long friendships with people from South Korea. This has given me much exposure to the
culture, the people, the social aspects of Korean society, and the many things the country likes.

Hello! I have recently completed a two-month TESOL program in Vietnam (October – December 2023). As I have very recently returned to the UK from my Vietnam program, I'm researching and assessing what teaching opportunities are available and exploring Teaching English opportunities in Asia! I thoroughly enjoy working with children and have been very fortunate to gain teaching experience in a kindergarten setting since teaching in Vietnam. I would love to teach English to this age group again (during my TESOL program, I was placed in different Vietnamese schools and I taught between the ages of 2-12 years old. I am very eager to teach in a kindergarten setting again).

I have also completed two summer camp counselor positions in the USA during 2022 & 2023; living with and looking after a group of approximately 20 kids aged 7-10 years old. This involved coordinating, leading and assisting with sports and activities, as well as managing the day-to-day health and welfare of our campers.

I am a very dedicated, genuine and adventurous individual who is not afraid to explore out of my comfort zone.

I hold a master’s degree in International Development with Conflict and Humanitarian Action from the University of Bath. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. I have a level 5 TEFL certification. My academic background, coupled with my TEFL certification, positions me as a well-qualified candidate for this role. As a fluent English speaker, I am confident in my ability to effectively communicate with students from various linguistic backgrounds. My teaching experience revolves around mentoring schemes for struggling students. This was aimed and adapted towards their skill set, towards improving their behaviours and academic outcomes. This was completed whilst I was still a student as part of a mentoring and peer tutoring scheme, part-time over 3 years. This mostly consisted of 1-on-1 tutoring to create a targeted experience to each student. However, group exercises and sessions were also taught. Additionally, I have experience working with diverse student populations, and I am adept at tailoring my teaching methods to meet the unique needs of ESL learners.

My teaching philosophy revolves around my academic background in International Development. I focused my research and projects towards the importance of adaptability of education internationally. I believe in the availability of education being accessible to all. I employ to create an engaging and effective learning experience for all students. I have developed a keen understanding of diverse cultures and student needs. I am adaptable and thrive in multicultural settings, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding. By utilising my TEFL skills and experience in mentoring, I hope to expand my intercultural communication and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to increasing learning opportunities. I am also eager for the opportunity to live and relocate, with the work-life balance that this role offers.

I have ambition to immerse myself in the local culture, learn from my students, and contribute to their language development. I have four years of experience working in Higher Education institutions across London, including names such as Queen Mary University of London and the University of Greenwich, where I’ve consistently provided guidance to students, addressing their queries, concerns, and providing unwavering support.

Now, as a freshly graduated EFL Teacher, I am eager to integrate the wealth of knowledge gained from The TEFL Academy, along with valuable insights from my previous working experiences in marketing and customer relations. My people skills, creativity, and leadership abilities, positions me to foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment. In my role as a print designer at a luxury fashion brand I was required to have a meticulous eye for detail to ensure high quality – a trait that I will apply when composing lesson plans and grading my students work. I also frequently balanced concurrent projects successfully, which highlights my ability to multitask.

During my time working in the hospitality industry, I gained valuable skills such as being able to stay composed in demanding situations, as well as developing a keen ability to anticipate needs. These traits will allow me to confidently lead a classroom and be able to resolve any problems in a calm, professional manner.

My creativity will help me in producing fun and engaging activities for the students, and my compassion will ensure a safe and comfortable environment for them to learn in.
