I am an ESL teacher with a 200-hour Level 5 TEFL certification and experience teaching and tutoring elementary-aged students. I hold a bachelor’s degree from one of Canada’s top universities and have studied and lived in Singapore, giving me experience in international and academically rigorous environments. I am professional, dependable, and adaptable, working well with co-teachers and school staff. I would say my greatest strength is that I am emphatic towards people around me. For example, I have found that new hires sometimes have a difficult time transitioning into a team when they are not fully aware of the overall team dynamics, like how we complete projects, delegate tasks, etc. Personally, I have been in the same position before, and it can be very difficult. So, I now take time to introduce myself to new team members and ask them if they have any questions. I make it a point to go over what I feel will help them excel in their job role and transition into the team more efficiently. By doing this, we keep productivity flowing in the right direction, and everyone continues to push their weight equally.

I have a developed environmental career. Although this is not in a traditional classroom setting I was provided multiple opportunities to teach others on environmental processes. With DRG Pacific Services I was able to train new hires on equipment and procedures. We were often required to help other divisions and be able to expand our knowledge to other coworkers.
I am an open minded individual who thrives on enriching experiences, such as new cultural customs, cuisines, and historic education. With a lifelong commitment to community growth, I found myself pursuing an environmental career and I am excited to expand to teaching others. I enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge with others and look forward to teaching English to others.
As my career developed I was able to learn and retain multiple technical and teaching skills. Some skills that I see utilizing is my adaptability to learn unfamiliar tools and software for new tasks. It will be useful for managing projects and tailoring lessons for student success. Additionally my experience with customers expanded my communication skills, helping me stay tuned to where I can help improve student development.
