I am patient, empathetic, and friendly . I always have a positive mindset and smiling. I believe these qualities help me build strong relationships with students and create a positive, encouraging learning environment. I’m also culturally sensitive and open-minded, which allows me to connect with learners from diverse backgrounds. I have lived in Vietnam for the past 9 months. During this time it allowed me to fully immerse myself in the culture, build meaningful connections with the community, and adapt my teaching style to fit the local context and classroom environment. Not only have I lived in Vietnam but I have travelled around south east Asia which has only furthered my confidence, adaptability and time management.

I have experience teaching English to students age 2-10-year-old students in Vietnam, where I created interactive and age-appropriate lesson plans that supported language development and student engagement. This hands-on classroom experience has given me a strong understanding of how to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning needs and different curriculums. I like to use interactive games, big gestures, stickers, use my body language- just generally making my lesson engaging. I had two teddies who I would throw to a children when they wanted to answer. I did a few big events where I had to host games for 300 children.

I possess strong communication and classroom management skills, as well as the ability to design creative, student-centered lessons. My background in customer service has further enhanced my problem-solving abilities and professionalism, both of which support effective teaching and collaboration with colleagues and parents.

With over 10 years of experience in customer service, I’ve developed strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I’m confident in handling different situations and always aim to create positive experiences. My positive attitude and willingness to learn have helped me adapt quickly in fast-paced environments.

Alongside my customer service background, I have a creative side shaped by my studies in illustration. This has given me a keen eye, i am able to pick on details that might have otherwise been overlooked and try to consistently possess a fresh approach to problem-solving. I have a year's experience of teaching secondary students English, and I also have experience in tutoring and caring for children. I am compassionate, outgoing, enthusiastic, and committed to creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students. The skills I have are growing and I am open to bettering myself. I currently have basic computer skills, but I am able to learn fast. I have experience in retail that has given me the skills to lead, problem-solve, and have a creative mind whenever its needed.

Within my experience i have worked in a variety of roles that could be considered professional and or customer facing, this has shaped the way i act and see the world. First my customer facing role has taught me how to cope under pressure and how communication is the only way to succeed as a team, this role as showed me how important every role is within a business from the chefs to the baristas and even the pot washers and how everybody works like a machine to a goal. Finally, this role has shown me how every customer is different and therefore will need a different approach when talking or noting down there orders which would be an essential part of teaching a classroom full of students. The other side of my experience could be classed as more professional where i worked as a marketing intern for an international engineering business this taught me how to create marketing materials and creative solutions to ensure consumers would be engaged by our products which is another important aspect when teaching children. This role also showed me how important research is as this will lead to more engaging and successful lesson plans.

Outside of work and education i love to go out for runs and push my body. I have started training for a half marathon and also have dreams of doing a triathlon one day. Overall, I love anything that keeps me on my feet. I have a passion for motorsport and an interest within the innovations of the sport. I would like to say I have a very kind hearted personality and love to make other people happy with jokes or conversation but also have the ability to take responsibility for all my actions. I pride myself on being prepared and punctual as reflected by my 97% attendance record across high school and university.

When it comes to skills, I believe that I am a good communicator and can show aspects of communicating but also being an active listener and taking on feedback. I hold my self to a high standard and therefore hold my work to a very high standard. Finally, I would say my adaptability is my best quality as I can chop and change my personality to suit the needs of the person or student in front of me.

I recently completed a 200-hour TEFL qualification and am now looking to begin my first formal role in the EFL field. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to relocate and teach in a new country, as I’m passionate about language education, cultural exchange, and building meaningful connections with students and the local community.
With a background in tutoring and childminding, I have developed a strong foundation in working with children in a supportive, engaging way. In addition, I bring three years of professional experience in the advertising industry, where I honed transferable skills such as clear communication, organisation, delivering presentations, and managing relationships—skills I am confident will enhance my effectiveness in the classroom, particularly with adult learners.
Though I am new to formal EFL teaching, I bring the right energy, kindness, and dedication to create an inclusive and motivating learning environment. I’m open and enthusiastic about stepping outside my comfort zone, and I’m eager to contribute both inside and outside the classroom. Living and working in a new country represents an exciting opportunity to grow personally and professionally, immerse myself in a different culture, and become an active part of a new community.

In regard to educational experience, I obtained a Master’s Degree in Graphic Design from the Florence Institute of Design International and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Media Art from Montclair State University. My academic journey, which includes living and studying abroad, has cultivated independence, responsibility, and strong time management. In 2025, I furthered my passion for education through the TEFL Academy's Level 5 Diploma certification to teach English as a foreign language. I perceive teaching English as a foreign language as an opportunity to provide both a positive and meaningful impact on education, build a diverse community, and experience new cultures. Professionally, I bring a decade of customer service and retail experience that has equipped me with valuable transferable skills such as patience, empathy, active listening, and leadership.
