I am someone who connects well with others through interaction, conversation and listening. My natural ability is to lead and motivate others to see their potential and worth. I have over five years experience in the world of international relations, where I worked on three different continents and countries. Through my experiences, education and travels I have always wanted to work with youth and people; while developing human capacity, which I have done throughout my career. I have developed experience in cross cultural competency in dealing with diverse groups of people, ranging from different backgrounds.

My personality is outgoing, approachable and compassionate toward the needs of others. I am naturally energetic and love children and youth. In a role of an educator, I can bring this same passion to the classroom, while teaching students.

Here are some skills I posses: communicator, creative, group collaboration, facilitator, mentor, trainer, adaptability, also, I am someone who leads by example; while owning my mistakes.

Caitlin: South Africa: Nov 01, 2018

I have experience with teaching from being a first-year Geography practical demonstrator at Rhodes University. This job entailed facilitating first-year Geography practical sessions and helping students in these session and then marking their work. I also have experience in teaching from volunteer work I did with the Khanya Maths and Science Club co-ordinated through Rhodes University and with NOAH (Nurturing Orphans of AIDS for Humanity) through Roedean School. For both of these schools, I tutored Grade 9 students in mathematics. I have experience with teaching elementary school children from work I did at Little Johnnies Aftercare, where I helped students with their homework (reading practise, preparing for spelling tests, maths exercises) and helped the staff with play activities.

I am an intelligent, responsible and industrious person. I work well independently and with others and I am friendly and approachable. From my studies at university, I have acquired skills in presenting, research and analysis. I have a lot of experience with public speaking and I am able to speak clearly and with confidence.

Katie: United Kingdom: Jan 07, 2019

Punctuality and creativity are central to my character, as is a hardworking and positive attitude. The ability to adapt to different circumstances, excellent people skills, and an aptitude for coping under pressure allow me to succeed in goals I set in life, both professional and personal.
As a member of a choir for over four years my self-confidence has grown, and I have been encouraged to step out of my comfort zone. I thoroughly relish the challenge of learning new songs as part of a diverse group and find the experience of practicing and performing highly rewarding.
Volunteering as a student representative for the Open University Student Association on the Languages & Applied Linguistics programme committee has given me insight into problems students face when learning languages. I believe I can use this experience proactively to respond to students’ needs with confidence, using techniques that have proven successful in an academic setting.
I am supportive of the diverse needs and abilities of students which allows me to encourage students to believe in their learning capabilities and achievements. Further, my analytical skills mean that I am adaptable in situations, allowing for decision making and problem solving in the moment and for the future. If students’ needs change unexpectedly, I feel confident I will be able to respond to this change in a timely and appropriate manner.
Through volunteering and working at the Open University I have gained experience in presenting information in a professional context, in verbal and written form, and feel comfortable transferring these skills to a classroom setting.
I have used my mathematical abilities in teaching contexts, both with children and adults. During my A Levels I volunteered in a primary school, taking groups of six children of 9-10 years of age through extra maths lessons. In my current volunteer role at Sheffield’s Conversation Club I offer help to non-native English speakers who are working towards mathematics qualifications, working on understanding what questions mean when written in English.
During the classroom course component of my TEFL qualification I was able to practice many skills including eliciting information, focussing on student talking time, concept checking and activity planning. I feel these skills will enable me to create a safe and fun learning environment for students.

Bum Jin: Korea: Hanshin University, Osan-si, Kyunggi-do, Republic of Korea: Feb 11, 1991

Dear officer

Good evening, I would like to apply for the teacher vacancy of the social science faculty to ready the exam of AP for the student.

Firstly, I am open-minded and have strong emotional sympathy with others. That is might be helpful for students. as I worked in Korea, I have the license for coaching the teenagers (name as "TLC" and it is the private license, not official).

Also, I am not only the sociable and funny teacher but also easily communicated with them cause I am youth (27 years for this year). I had been undergone so many things through the travel, living abroad, and it is useful for the care of themselves as the teacher if I would start to teach them.

and my major is Sociology and International Relationship – It is appropriate for the teaching them. during the bachelor's course in the university, I have been trained for critical speech – such as for refuting on the debate, and writing also. Furthermore, I could be teaching the Japanese for them, too. So, I want to help and assist them through to show my talent for language, and social studies focused on history, politics.

I am looking forward to the response.

Best Regards
Nathan Lee

Muhammad: United Kingdom: Oct 25, 2018

I would like to apply for English teaching position in South Korea.
I am very excited to be applying to teach in a country as beautiful and progressive as Korea. It will be a privilege to be given an opportunity to share what I know as a teacher with my students.
I have completed CELTA teacher training from International House Barcelona. I am an EFL, business studies and tourism teacher teaching students of diverse nationalities and skill levels. I have been doing that since early 2015. I am available to start immediately. And am willing to relocate and I do hope to learn more about this teaching initiative in Korea following my application (and your response to it).

My methodology in the classroom is to remain approachable to learners at all times, encourage student interaction with the teacher and with other learners. I have learned that leaners feel more involved and tend to participate well if learning is fun and relevant. As a private tutor, I enjoy being challenged by the demands of teaching students with varied abilities. I accommodate students according to their understanding of English language and management studies with the help of teaching resources. Most exciting feature of teaching for me is the diversity of backgrounds, value systems, personal stories and work experiences that my learners bring with them.

I am driven by strong work ethics in my family. My father started our family business on his own from next to nothing. Then my eldest brother took over under most testing circumstances when our father developed health issues. I draw my inspiration from my brother and father who had very limited or no means to study or even have a professional career.

I understand that teaching English in Korea will have its challenges . I am willing to learn and improve myself constantly liaising with the school management, staff and English department cooperating with them to achieve the common goal of improving learners’ language skills required.
