Hi, my name is James Gaffney.

I am a graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway having completed a degree in French, Spanish and Creative Writing as well as the 140 hour course with TEFL UK.

With my background in writing, both as part of my time in university and also for personal enjoyment, I have developed an ability to write across different forms (including fiction, non-fiction and screenwriting) and am able to express myself with clarity as concisely as possible, something that I believe is invaluable in a classroom environment.

As a person I am very social. I love having opportunities to meet new people from different countries and cultures. I also enjoy being given exciting challenges and am able to approach different problems in multiple ways. For these reasons, I believe that I would be a good fit to teach English across a variety of age ranges and abilities.

My previous experience stems back during my last year of middle year in which I was a practitioner's assistant for a math class. As teacher's assistant, I was able to observe the workings of the class behind the scenes, and during class, as well. It was interesting to be able to grade students' actual papers and organize such documents according to the filing systems we had there. On top of inputting grades, I also got to head small groups of the class during our math lab sessions in which there was no teacher present at all times. It provided me experience as a leader that I would come to use during my later years.

As I have said, my leadership skills have stayed with me into my college years. I was Treasurer of a international honor society called Phi Theta Kappa (the Beta Alpha Beta chapter) at Cerritos College. I remember us being voted in by members after we gave an impromptu speech about why we should be officers. This first speech was just the beginning of our public speaking skill experience. Later, we were able to announce news/events, keep them up-to-date on our international happenings, and engage them about the appropriate dates/future events. This was the most exciting part of the officer team, in my opinion. I loved speaking in front of an audience.

Furthermore, this year-long experience gave me a chance to work on my writing skills and contiue budgeting money as I had done in high school. Our chapter was pretty well-off compared to the other clubs on campus, and that meant that we needed to keep it that way for the later years. During our service there, we completed several projects (including a campus tour and self-campus tour brochure) in order to become a five star chapter. This had not been done in years. I personally contributed by creating ideas like Google Maps directions, and writing creative descriptions for the campus landmark, such as "Bring your appetite" to our cafeteria. I also got to stand-in for our secretarial duties, which meant writing formal reports of club meetings for our records.

It was through real-life experiences like these that I got to dabble in my creative and organizational skills. I am searching for more ways I can expand on these skills daily because I desire to express them, from using physical tools to alphabetizing, it all makes a difference.

My name is James Reyes, and I am 31 year old Australian currently looking to gain a English teaching position in South Korea.

I have 7 years professional business experience, both for the London music tech start up ROLI from 2016 to 2018, and a renown retailer called Turramurra Music in Sydney from 2011 to 2016. Throughout this time I have gained extensive experience working in various commercial roles where I have demonstrated proficiency in customer service, sales operations and business analysis; communicating high level business information to external customers and executive management.
I also have volunteer teaching experience, having volunteered as a guest speaker for The Smith Family from 2013 to 2016; where I gave presentations and organised learning activities for adolescent students about audio recording and the music industry.
This unique blend of international work experience, communication skills, people skills, technical skills and overall business acumen leads me to believe that I will be a highly valuable and attractive candidate for ESL recruiters and employers.

Personality wise I am adventurous but very hard working, with my friends and family often describing me as 'cool and collected'. I take a pragmatic approach to life, and take extra care to be empathetic in anything I do, often putting others before myself (perhaps also my biggest weakness!). I enjoy travelling and exploring new cultures, basketball and reading non-fiction.

With my professional and academic experience, I believe I have the necessary people and communication skills that will enable me to become a successful ESL teacher. Teaching English represents the next exciting chapter in my career, and will provide me the unique opportunity to work and travel abroad in South Korea as I finish my MBA.

Along with my teaching experience from Teaching House's CELTA program, I have experience with pre-kindergarten to middle school students having served as a teacher's assistant, a gymnastics coach, and an older sister to very young children. I find educating and working with students very rewarding. As a patient and calm person, I am capable of handling both personal and academic problems that may arise in the classroom. I am energetic and passionate about keeping students engaged in a supportive, dynamic, and educational setting. I am perceptive and adaptable, able to assess the needs of a classroom and adjust accordingly. My name is Fallon Anderson, and I am a Native English Speaker from South African. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a TEFL 120 Hour Course Certificate. I have experience working with children as I mentored young students throughout high school, and worked as a Group Instructor for some time where I was responsible for directing and encouraging the students through the activities that I had arranged for them. I am very interested in working in South Korea, as I am quite intrigued by the culture and would like to learn more about it. I also feel that teaching is a very important job as it has a large influence on the growth of students and shapes them into the people they become.

I am highly educated, and very well-read, with a superb command of the English language and a passion for correct grammar and punctuation. I have recently completed a 120 Hour TEFL course online, and I am eager to pursue TEFL as a new career.
I have resided in the UK for 34 years, and have a BA(Hons) First Class degree from the University of Manchester, and a MSc degree from the University of Huddersfield.
I have a clean Police Certificate from the UK police.
I am currently employed as a web/graphic designer at a leading online retailer specialising in electronic and white goods. As part of the role I write copy for web pages and I also design and create email campaigns.
In addition, I have had previous experience of teaching. I worked on a fixed-term contract basis for Bury College, Lancashire, as a Creative Web Professional Tutor. In this role I trained owners of small businesses in the use of web and graphic design software. I created and produced a range of training materials, and engaged in marketing and promotional activities for the courses.

My name is Tanya Burks, I am 45 years old. I graduated from University of North Texas with a Masters in Library Science in May 2015. I received a TESOL certificate in February 2019. My daughter, Suzanne, two cats and myself reside in Killeen, Texas. I served nine years in the US Army. In Germany, I met my wonderful husband, who loved life and encouraged me to follow my dreams. My dreams were to be a teacher and/or a librarian. My few passions in life are working, taking care of my family, reading books and fixing up my home. Through the military I have achieved my dream of becoming a librarian.
The next phrase in life has brought a new challenge such as finding employment and a secure retirement plan. I am hoping with a graduate degree in multilingual education (TESOL) my employability will increase, therefore allowing another childhood goal of teaching to manifest. Currently I am working as an educational aide at South Belton Middle School in the Academic Assistance Center in addition to the enrollment in the TESOL certificate program. My goals are to learn, teach, help others, and travel the world which are a continual driving force for me to achieve personal happiness and satisfaction.
