I recently completed my Bachelor's degree (BSc Human Life Science) and I am TEFL certified. Thus, not only am I qualified to teach English, but I can teach rudimentary science to the children as well, whether it be for fun or educational purposes. I really am passionate about developing our young minds and I would be honoured if you have me this opportunity.

I have a BSc Degree in Environmental Science and graduated in 2012. I have also acquired the 120 hours TEFL certificate. I have worked in four different organisations since 2012. In all these organisations, my tasks involved doing Environmental Education teaching for schools and the adults that visited the Zoological Garden, The Museum, the Park as well as the Nature Reserve. I learned to create lessons that were aligned to the school’s national curriculum and also teaching such lessons to the learners as well as general environmental topics for the adults. I learned the required teaching skills during this period. I taught kids from as little as 3 years old and all the way to tertiary students who were visiting my work place. I enjoy spending time with kids and I am really passionate about teaching

I was a volunteer tutor at my university for international students. I assisted with their homework and taught conversational English.
I have also tutored children, ages 3-8, in subjects like math, english and history.

Although I do not have any experience as an ESL teacher. I believe that the experience that I have accumulated thus far will be greatly beneficial for your institution. During my time as a tutor for the Gender studies department at the university of Cape Town, I learnt how to teach engage with students of all backgrounds, this allowed me to develop communicative skills and interpersonal skills that I believe would be a great help while teaching English abroad. This also helped me create a process which is lucid in order to enable the students to throughly understand concept. Furthermore my time as a facilitator for the Global Citizenship has taught me to view education through a unconventional eye, which I believe is required when attempting to teach English, especially in a foreign country. I believe this will help me make the classroom more open and comfortable for the students, moreover, I believe this will also help me create a conducive, exciting and educational experience for my students.

I completed the CELTA course in December 2018. The CELTA course involved practical experience of working with adults and structuring lesson plans with highly experienced tutors, so I feel comfortable doing that. I found myself really liking and getting on with the students and I enjoyed the lessons I taught. I had experience teaching both advanced and beginner classes, so I was shown how to adapt lessons to different levels of skill. One of the things I particularly enjoyed was planning communicative tasks for students to practice their English. This involved group work with a focus on communicating with each other in English either through reading or writing.

I have experience working with children as I used to teach outdoor sports. I primarily taught kayaking and sailing. I found this a lot of fun and I am confident teaching children in a fun way while also making sure they focus on the task. As some of the activities required some technical skill, I did a lot of work on breaking down a task step-by-step to make it simple. I also helped with a programme for students with disabilities to get involved with sports, so I have experience working with disadvantaged learners.

I am calm and find it easy to speak to people so I would be relaxed speaking to the class and helping them to communicate in a safe environment. I am excited at the idea of going to Korea and would love to develop my teaching in your school.

I have lived and worked in China for four years as a TEFL teacher in public schools. I am passionate about travelling and teaching. I would love the opportunity to live and work in South Korea and hope to spend several years there. I am positive, motivated and learning and growing all the time to be the best teacher I can be.

I have experience in working with groups of children as I formerly worked at a horse ranch that regularly had 1:1 lessons, group lessons, camps, and birthday parties with children ages 5-10 and often their parents as well. It was important to keep organised, focused, and manage not only the children but animals as well, which could be very unpredictable, so learning to be flexible with the work was a must. I also have a TEFL/TESOL certification that I completed at the end of 2018 that included a 20 hour practicum in order to obtain the certificate. I am a hard working young man who has experience working with young students, with both preparation for lessons and in class teaching experience. I'm an extremely positive and flexible person. I was born into a military family. This means that my father was assigned a new job in a new town every 3 years of my life until he retired in October of 2016. In the United States of America I have lived in Texas (where I was born), California, Georgia (where I graduated high school) Hawaii (my personal favorite), and Maryland (where I received my Bachelor of Science degree). Outside of The States I have spent time living in Germany and France. This upbringing left me with an insatiable love for learning new cultures, languages, people and traveling the world.
