Since I have been a child I have always been fascinated by the multitude of languages that had existed and how we are connected to each other by it. Due to this, becoming an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher would be a well-suited career for me.

I am a native english speaker who has graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (cum laude) at Nelson Mandela University in 2016. I have worked as a qualified pharmacist for two years from 2017 till 2018. I have a level 5 TEFL certification (168Hours).

As a pharmacist I believe I have developed a well-rounded skill set. I demonstrate strong attention to detail, leadership qualities, customer service skills and most importantly excellent communication skills. I am patient,friendly, compassionate, enthusiastic, and vibrant and I have a strong work ethic.

In high school (2008-2011) I occasionally partook in my schools outreach
program, tutoring primary school aged children — with disadvantaged
backgrounds — with their homework. Although I have no formal teaching
experience, I do believe my skills and personality traits will be beneficial and
suited to an ESL teaching position.

Experience – I have been lecturing in Information Technology for 2 years. Lectures have consisted of both older adults as well as teenagers. I am responsible for multiple subjects and I am required to develop my own lesson plans. I supervised undergrad students on projects they are required to complete, during my Masters Degree.

Personality – I am open minded, fun and have good interpersonal skills. I love exploring, learning and meeting new people. I have good communication skills and I am patient, as I have been teaching for the past 2 years now. I have good work ethic and can be entrusted to complete tasks on my own.

Skills – I have a Masters degree in Information Technology (Software Development, specialising in User Experience). I do a lot of freelance work, building and developing websites for local businesses. I am a good tennis player and I enjoy producing my own music.

I have extensive experience teaching English to a variety of people. In my university, I was involved in several programs to help international students learn and improve their English skills, and I have personally taught several of these students: not only teaching them English, but also teaching them about life in the United States and helping them to adapt to the local culture.

I have developed a unique skill set that is well-suited for this job. I will use the skills I have gained in my management degree program to manage and optimize time spent teaching the curriculum so that the students will remain active and engaged throughout the class time. My anthropology courses provided me with the skills to interface with people from a wide variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds which I practice every day.

Through my extensive campus involvement, I have developed strong leadership skills which are easily applicable to the classroom. Both in my work and in my university courses, I have consistently demonstrated a capacity to lead groups of people towards a common goal.

I have a very happy, outgoing, and compassionate personality, and I genuinely enjoy the privilege of teaching people new things. I am patient and kind, and I can adapt my approach to suit individual needs. Because of this, I work well with people from children to adults.

I have extensive experience in different branches of education, ranging from one-on-one classes, to workshops of thirty or more. I currently teach English to Chinese students using online software, with a wide range of ages stretching from two to eighteen years old. I have delivered lessons to absolute beginners in a discipline, where it is crucial to break the ice and appear warm and approachable. I have designed and implemented a music curriculum for a youth course named Rock Academy of at least thirty children of varying ages and abilities. A great passion of mine is working with young people to push them to succeed, and I have met a great range of young people, from many different backgrounds, and have encountered a host of challenges in trying to ensure that each young person can reach their maximum potential. I feel that the wealth of experience I have gained from teaching this range of ages and backgrounds will equip me well for a move abroad, where I can apply what I have learnt directly in the classroom.
I consider myself an adaptable individual, as I am comfortable both meeting new people, and visiting new areas. I feel that I am extremely proactive at tackling a language barrier, which is a considerable factor of being abroad. Every step of my employment history has demanded of me a high standard of personal adaptability and ability to meet new people, and swiftly build a rapport with them. Through my time DaDaABC, Rock Academy, and Feline Good Café, I have developed a strong ability to balance professionalism and approachability; I am a warm individual for students or customers to talk to, but I always maintain a sense of outgoing professionalism. I would consider myself extremely organised, able to micromanage without losing track of overarching aims and goals. Additionally, I am tech-proficient, comfortable with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, music production software, as well as both MacOS and Windows.

Taking into consideration the education I have attained over the past 4 years, I believe I will be able to apply appropriate and successful teaching methodologies. My strong initiative and exceptional organizational skills combined with my ability to work well under pressure allow me to play a crucial role in a fast paced teaching environment. Hi, my name is James Gaffney.

I am a graduate of the National University of Ireland, Galway having completed a degree in French, Spanish and Creative Writing as well as the 140 hour course with TEFL UK.

With my background in writing, both as part of my time in university and also for personal enjoyment, I have developed an ability to write across different forms (including fiction, non-fiction and screenwriting) and am able to express myself with clarity as concisely as possible, something that I believe is invaluable in a classroom environment.

As a person I am very social. I love having opportunities to meet new people from different countries and cultures. I also enjoy being given exciting challenges and am able to approach different problems in multiple ways. For these reasons, I believe that I would be a good fit to teach English across a variety of age ranges and abilities.

My previous experience stems back during my last year of middle year in which I was a practitioner's assistant for a math class. As teacher's assistant, I was able to observe the workings of the class behind the scenes, and during class, as well. It was interesting to be able to grade students' actual papers and organize such documents according to the filing systems we had there. On top of inputting grades, I also got to head small groups of the class during our math lab sessions in which there was no teacher present at all times. It provided me experience as a leader that I would come to use during my later years.

As I have said, my leadership skills have stayed with me into my college years. I was Treasurer of a international honor society called Phi Theta Kappa (the Beta Alpha Beta chapter) at Cerritos College. I remember us being voted in by members after we gave an impromptu speech about why we should be officers. This first speech was just the beginning of our public speaking skill experience. Later, we were able to announce news/events, keep them up-to-date on our international happenings, and engage them about the appropriate dates/future events. This was the most exciting part of the officer team, in my opinion. I loved speaking in front of an audience.

Furthermore, this year-long experience gave me a chance to work on my writing skills and contiue budgeting money as I had done in high school. Our chapter was pretty well-off compared to the other clubs on campus, and that meant that we needed to keep it that way for the later years. During our service there, we completed several projects (including a campus tour and self-campus tour brochure) in order to become a five star chapter. This had not been done in years. I personally contributed by creating ideas like Google Maps directions, and writing creative descriptions for the campus landmark, such as "Bring your appetite" to our cafeteria. I also got to stand-in for our secretarial duties, which meant writing formal reports of club meetings for our records.

It was through real-life experiences like these that I got to dabble in my creative and organizational skills. I am searching for more ways I can expand on these skills daily because I desire to express them, from using physical tools to alphabetizing, it all makes a difference.

My name is James Reyes, and I am 31 year old Australian currently looking to gain a English teaching position in South Korea.

I have 7 years professional business experience, both for the London music tech start up ROLI from 2016 to 2018, and a renown retailer called Turramurra Music in Sydney from 2011 to 2016. Throughout this time I have gained extensive experience working in various commercial roles where I have demonstrated proficiency in customer service, sales operations and business analysis; communicating high level business information to external customers and executive management.
I also have volunteer teaching experience, having volunteered as a guest speaker for The Smith Family from 2013 to 2016; where I gave presentations and organised learning activities for adolescent students about audio recording and the music industry.
This unique blend of international work experience, communication skills, people skills, technical skills and overall business acumen leads me to believe that I will be a highly valuable and attractive candidate for ESL recruiters and employers.

Personality wise I am adventurous but very hard working, with my friends and family often describing me as 'cool and collected'. I take a pragmatic approach to life, and take extra care to be empathetic in anything I do, often putting others before myself (perhaps also my biggest weakness!). I enjoy travelling and exploring new cultures, basketball and reading non-fiction.

In this role I trained owners of small businesses in the use of web and graphic design software. My name is Tanya Burks, I am 45 years old. I graduated from University of North Texas with a Masters in Library Science in May 2015. I received a TESOL certificate in February 2019. Experience:

I have not really had an awful lot of experience, really. When I was doing a college course many years back I had to volunteer at a local school as part of the college course. I was a teaching assistant for the ages 4-6 years old. As the course was in Sports, at the time, I gave my first swimming lesson. However, the volunteer placement was for a few weeks only, so I am looking for some longer key experience with younger children.

Personality:

I think I am firm but fair. I do, however, like to bring something fun to the table and always like to create something interesting to do. I class myself as the soldier type, where I may take a hit one day but I always bounce back ready to fight on. I like to achieve things and have my own bucket list where I set out goals in life and over a period of time always achieve the set targets. I like helping others where they may not understand or find difficulties in learning because I feel everyone needs a chance to know and understand how things work.
