My experience consists of teaching children (3-16 yrs) basic music theory, English speaking, and writing skills. I worked with families with children (0-6 yrs) in building healthy parenting skills through creating programs and activities that support their children's physical/emotional/cognitive development.
I am known to be an engaging, resourceful educator, and I am open to criticism and learning from my peers. I am hardworking and always ask questions to improve my performance and quality of education.
I have a music background, which consists of piano and violin which I use in my current position to teach families and their children through songs. Having worked in schools in England for the past three years, I have developed a passion and commitment to teaching. A key focus of my work has always been teaching children to speak, read and write beautifully, providing them with the skills and confidence to flourish.

In my last role, I took on the responsibility of teaching English as a second language to Japanese students. Through structured weekly lessons and day-to-day immersive learning, I tutored 4-5 year old students from speaking no English to developing a wide vocabulary and the ability to understand, speak, and write English. This wonderful experience sparked my desire to teach English as an additional language full time.

I am a passionate, reliable, and dedicated graduate from the University of Central Lancashire with a BA (Hons) graduate degree in Asia Pacific Studies that included studying factors about South Korean history and culture. I also possess a 120-hour TEFL certificate, which I completed alongside my degree with TEFL UK. The TEFL course enabled me to learn a number of teaching methods as well as fuel my passion for teaching English to others.

Previously at my sixth form college, I was given the opportunity to partake in work experience. As I have wanted to be an English teacher for a long time, I chose to return to my former secondary school and gain work experience there. This opportunity had taught me a lot about teaching and also how children can be taught in various ways through a multitude of methods in the classroom. I believe that this work experience has allowed me to enhance my social skills, not only in a general sense, but also in a teaching environment and gave me the appropriate experience for the teaching profession.

I have had a number of jobs in Customer Service where I was able to interact with many different people of various ages and backgrounds. As I have been in customer service at a number of different employers, I learned how to quickly become competent at a number of tasks that I had never done before. This helped me to enhance a number of skills, such as communication with others, adapting to various situations, dependability, and patience. I am extremely resilient and willing to adapt in order to support people and their educational goals to the best of my ability.

I am a South African with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a 300-hour TEFL certificate from Gatehouse (i-to-i). I am looking for a teaching role in South Korea collaborating with young learners.

I have tutored third year Industrial Psychology students for the full academic year. Teaching them relevant concepts, assisting with assignments, grading homework, follow the curriculum. I have also assisted my mother who was a daycare mother.

I have been involved with our church’s youth and Sunday school with social events, camping trips, group activities for about 8 years. My years in retail and customer services have molded me to fit the role as a teacher and to pass on my acquired skills. I have a lot of patience, reliable, flexible, up to date with technology, a visionary and be able to follow through. I am tenacious, kind-hearted, flexible, and so much more.

My name is Tabatha Pegg. I am a 26-year-old Resident Tutor and Teacher from Leicestershire, currently based in Rutland, United Kingdom. I saw your post on the TEFL jobs listing page and believe that I have skills that fit your company's ethos and would support and help your establishment to excel.

My teaching journey began when I was 18 and teaching drama to children aged 7-18 at summer camps run by the Nicholas Branston Foundation from 2015-2018. During this time, I learned to tailor my teaching style for different age groups and numbers, and taught singing and acting to as many as 50 children at one time. In the summer of 2019, I was invited to teach music at Exsportise summer camp. Here, I taught children with low to intermediate levels of English. I enjoyed adapting my teaching style to accommodate those children, and I am proud of the work they achieved and the new language they were able to utilise by the end of the course.

From 2017 – 2020, I completed my degree in Acting and Theatre Making, achieving a first-class Honours Degree. During the course I acquired a plethora of skills that I would later use to inform my teaching. Leading group projects at university helped shape the way I lead groups and provided valuable experience in taking charge of fellow adults. I also gained experience in creating my own resources for assessments. To accompany the skills nurtured during my degree, I am also a strong vocalist and competent guitarist, with a good knowledge of music theory. I have found that incorporating music into teaching is a fantastic way to engage students, and often helps them better retain the information they are being taught.

Upon graduating in 2020, I utilised my time during the Covid 19 lockdown to complete a 120-hour TEFL qualification. Teaching abroad, experiencing new cultures and customs and having the privilege to share my skills with new people interests me greatly, and TEFL is the perfect gateway to make this a reality. After completing this, I taught online for iTutorABC from November 2020 to July 2021. I taught students, sometimes as young as three years old, along with adult classes. I had experience of one-to-one and group teaching – groups of up to 12 people at a time. This solidified my joy for teaching, and I enjoyed the challenges that came with navigating online platforms and catering for so many different ages and abilities. I always left personal, detailed feedback to help my students excel and ensured that they felt confident as they approached exams.

From August 2021 until now, I have been working as a Drama Teacher and Resident Tutor at Oakham Boarding School. I live and work in the school, making sure that the children's academic and pastoral needs are taken care of, helping with homework, monitoring their academic progress closely and liaising with parents and fellow teachers when necessary. Alongside my tutoring and pastoral work, I teach the LAMDA and UK Drama curriculum. Working in one of the UK's top 10 boarding schools has helped me further develop my approach to teaching, paying close attention to how each child responds best, what helps them learn and remember the information they're being taught. Most importantly, I observe what they enjoy. Children and adults alike learn most when they are having fun, so I always strive to keep my students engaged and happy during class time with energetic, fun content. Whilst I enjoy my job, I am keen to leave the UK and experience what life abroad has to offer, as I believe that there is a lot the world can teach me. If I am to be the best teacher I can be, I must also strive to learn and push myself.
A further note about my character: I am an energetic, friendly, empathetic, punctual and extremely hard-working person. I go above and beyond in everything I do, always. I was appointed Student Fellow during my second year of university to act as a representative for my course due to my continued commitment and complete reliability. I can promise you that I would be continuously on the ball, using my initiative and would be a safe pair of hands for you in the running and success of your school. I am currently working as an English Communication Development teacher in Uttaradit, Thailand. I work with students aged 12-14. I also tutor students privately, adapting each lesson to the individual based upon age, level and proficiency.

In addition, I have graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English which has provided me with an invaluable insight into the language. I have developed excellent written and oral communication skills through my coursework, presentations and work experience in teaching and mentoring. The work experience I completed as part of the Literacy Support Project has enabled me to gain classroom teaching experience to children of all age ranges, allowing me to tailor my teaching style to different audiences and fluency levels.

My role as Student Ambassador for the Schools Liaison team required me to deliver activities to young visitors, occasionally planning activities myself. I was able to motivate and encourage pupils to complete their tasks in an engaging and fun way.

Furthermore, I have also worked in a Montessori school in China, Shenzhen, as a Kindergarten and Elementary English Teacher where I was responsible for a class of 30 students ranging from different ages. I created the curriculum for them, was able to teach English at all levels from reading comprehension, to syntax, vocabulary, verbs, nouns, and different tenses.

This position offers me the opportunity to teach the language that I relish in order to widen the pupils’ future career prospects. I would welcome the chance to provide them with high quality lessons and utilise the skills and experience I have to make a valuable contribution to their exposure to English.
