I am a native English speaker from the UK with a Bachelor in English and Multimedia Journalism and am currently an English MA student. Through my degree I have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, and can explain them in a clear and understandable fashion as I have delivered many presentations and seminars. I also have a 120-hour TEFL certificate and experience as a university teaching assistant. ESL teacher: 1 year working as a full-time ESL teacher at Satit Pattana Secondary School in Bangkok. Professional experience teaching students aged 12-18, of varying ability levels. CELTA course: I have completed a full-time CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) course in Spain, during which I learned to teach English in both theory and practice. I have got a BSc (Hons) Web Design and Development degree from Edge Hill University where I learnt many skills that I will be able to bring with me to provide children a technilogical interactive education. I am currently on a long term supply post teaching children who are age 6-7. I have got a child with English as an additional language (EAL) who I have delivered daily English language interventions to since September and he has flourished and is now able to speak a good level of English.

My skills are extensive in that I know how to plan, deliver, reflect and assess lessons and childrens progress effectivley. I am also able to acknowledge where support/interventions are needed and how to put these in place. Classroom management is also a skill I possess due to my experience with children who have been through trauma, who need emotional support, and those who have special educational needs (SEN).

I was fortunate to be selected to represent my undergraduate university on an international exchange programme, studying in Haverford College, USA 2018-2019. This was an invaluable experience for broadening my horizons and allowing me to be more self-sufficient. I was able to adjust my learning style, appreciating that American classroom etiquettes were not the same as the UK's, and their accreditation system also differed. I made new friends for life, and learned just as much from hearing about the backgrounds and beliefs of others as I did inside the classroom.

I have recently completed a 168 hour Level 5 TEFL course, including a 10 hour observed classroom teaching practice course. I thoroughly enjoyed learning how language learning and teaching works, and am now eager to put my new skills into practice. I am flexible on hours, type of school and the age of students. I will be available to start in the coming months, preferably from August onward.

I am a native English-speaking graduate and a South African citizen. I have completed my degree in Social Science (Majoring in Psychology and Counselling) and my TEFL Course with The TEFL Academy and have received my TEFL certificate.
When it came to deciding what I wanted to study after high school, on my list was psychology and teaching, and I ended up choosing psychology. My reason for going into the mental health field, as cliche as it sounds, is that I wanted to make a positive difference in my family’s lives, my life, and, mainly and importantly, other people's lives. It is a choice I don't regret because it has taught me so much about mental health and created a self-awareness and self-reflection that I never thought possible. After completing my degree, I felt I needed a break, but I did not want to stop or change my main goal of making a difference, so I decided to look into teaching. Not long after I saw an online post about becoming a TEFL teacher, I was inspired and spent the rest of that day researching. The next day I applied to the TEFL Academy, the idea of becoming a TEFL Teacher has made me feel excited, motivated, and hopeful about making a difference.
