I am writing to express my sincere interest in the English teaching position. With a deep commitment to fostering independent, international-minded thinkers and a profound sense of responsibility for shaping tomorrow's global citizens, I am eager to contribute to your mission of providing high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds. My experience as both a traveler and a student has been a journey of cultural immersion and educational exploration. Although I grew up in the United States, I traveled and lived in many countries over the last ten years of my life. Along the way, I embarked on numerous adventures, and embraced the richness of different cultures. On my journey I became a cosmopolitan citizen of the world, but I wanted to continue my education through the academic track, so I can have the necessary tools to be a diversified teacher. My pursuit of higher education led me to the Netherlands, where I graduated with an interdisciplinary bachelor's degree in European studies. Maastricht university where I studied, relays on a teaching method called Problem Based Learning (PBL) where it is research and group oriented in practice. Therefore, retaining information and learning through PBL is unorthodox to say the least and allows for an innovative and diversified approach to the learning process.
Furthermore, motivated by a deep love for education instilled in me by my mother, an English teacher who would often take me to her private lessons, I pursued further professional development by obtaining my TESOL and CELTA certifications while traveling, where I was able to gain some teaching experience as an English teacher in Spain. These qualifications have equipped me with the necessary skills to create dynamic and inclusive learning environments that empower students to reach their full potential.
