My name is Mary and I am writing to submit my application for the Fall-intake vacancy.
I have been living in Korea for the last two years, and I currently work at a foreign-language school named Simseok School – located in Namyangju (east of Jamsil).
I am very interested in this vacancy, as I believe that my prior experiences working across all educational ages would make me a unique member of your team. As you will be able to see in my resume, I am originally from the United States, but I have lived abroad in various countries for the last ten years. My first role as a teacher was during my time in England, where I worked for over two years as an assistant ESL teacher for Shumei University's international campus abroad, teaching conversational English to Japanese University students who were seeking to transfer to British Universities. I also instructed IELTS speaking examinations during this time. I was also a student in England, and I graduated from Law School there.
During my time in Korea, I have also had the unique chance of working at both a public middle school through the EPIK program , and a foreign language school. Both schools helped me sharpen my skills further and have a more in-depth knowledge of the particular learning needs of Korean students.
During my time at Leiden University, I was also involved in many research opportunities through my program – which in turn has given me the unique insight of having a deeper understanding of the functioning of Universities as a whole.
I have attached my CV and my lesson plan to this email. I hope to speak with you shortly and possibly arrange an interview time.
