I am currently working in Digital Marketing, however after almost four years in the field, I have learnt that I would prefer to work in a position that is much more interpersonal, and people focussed. I have decided to pursue teaching because I had a very positive experience of education myself, so a career in education has always appealed to me. With my own academic background (Bachelors in English and Masters in Communication & Entrepreneurship), I feel as though I am well suited to teaching English.

Though I plan to change my career path, my current job had provided me with a great set of transferable skills. These include excellent verbal and written communication, creativity, problem solving, organisation, time management and management of a demanding workload. All of these skills would be essential in a teaching job.

I also have experience with children, including childminding and mentoring children in an after school homework club therefore I know that I enjoy working with and being around children as I am an energetic, enthusiastic and fun person. I am also highly empathetic, a good listener and patient which would all be crucial skills to have as a good teacher.
